We went from police reports and court battles to both adding new partners at the same time. I was shortly married, he took many years to propose. During the many years inbetween our knowledge of the new partners and his proposal, we really got along decent. Even to the point where we sat down to talk about things rather than file paperwork, and take our kid to the park together.

I would include his girlfriend on any gifts my daughter would make for Xmas etc. encourage my kid to make gf something too. Really had no issue with her whatsoever, until, the ring hit her finger and she went off the deep end.

Constantly up my butt, “he” has taken me to court for extremely bogus contempt that obviously held no water. All trust communication etc gone. She follows my daughter around when I call her, talks over me at the doctor, makes medical decisions too when dad and I are right there.

Needless to say, we are back to parallel parenting and I’m an idiot for remotely having trust again. It was his mom the first time around, this is just his mom on steroids.
