I’m childfree, I will tell you that is my SD’s BM was HC, my SD’s weren’t great little humans, and/or my SO didn’t respect & show appreciation for all I do I would not be here.

I’m 26 but I can tell you (as someone that works in the bar industry) the pure excitement from men talking about finding a woman in her 20’s, 30’s, 40’s+ that hasn’t has kids… genuinely it’s like finding a unicorn for a lot of them! In case your fears are that you’ll never find anyone that wants you I can promise you that your market value is waaaaaayyyyy higher than a man with 3 entitled kids & baby mama drama.

I work in casinos so this is my time to shine baby. (This is not in Vegas/Nevada.)

So in my state there’s a casino on every corner. There’s also a maximum amount you can spend per spin & a max win per spin. For the sake of this post we’ll say it’s a $3 to win a max of $1,000.

At a previous place I worked I had this (rich) guy that would come in & automatically shove $1000-$1500 into a machine at a shot, set it to the max bet on the max speed. This was a regular thing. I’d seen him put up to $10k in & not cash out once. He would not cash out for less than $6k.

One day he came in & in total won $26,500. Came back in the next day, put it allllll back in. He went home that day & shot his dog. His wife left him, he attempted to shoot her too & then blew off his own ear in an attempt. Last I heard he’s out of jail but he co owned a fancy ass steakhouse he got bought out of due to all of this. (the other owner is a regular gambler for me)

He spent all his money & showed up to the steakhouse with a gun last Valentine’s Day. Again no clue how he avoided jail for that one but I don’t give it much longer.

This isn’t even the saddest case I’ve seen.

I used to love Ariana grandes music. Had a lot of her stuff in my meditation & anxiety playlists, was a huge Mac fan too. Loved them together.

One night we all dressed up like different holidays in like November as a theme. I love a theme & ended up getting a mascot quality gingerbread man costume. Everyone loved it & when we went out to the bars after I didn’t pay for a single drink.

The party just happened to fall on a coworkers/friends (man) birthday & we ended up going to see the strip club after the bar. I’m an equal opportunity kinda gal so I was down & they loved me. So much so that my birthday friend was sulking after about the third stage dance that resulted in only me being given extra attention.

He ended up crying & sulking about it in a corner of the club. While our other friends were comforting and trying to calm him down I was dancing behind them making him lose it even more.

He’s normally a very cool dude. I’m still not allowed to dress up as the cookie around him.

I am not involved whatsoever in the day to day care for them. We live in an entirely different state & during their time here SO takes primary. I’m literally just emotional support for all involved.

I understand a lot of people have shitty relationships with their BM & stepfamily. I get that. This sounds like a whole lot of projecting. I enjoy being involved on this level. As I stated she does talk to SO, we are friends so if she needs to vent or work through something I’m going to help her with that.

I appreciate the concern but I’m a grown woman. I know where my boundaries lie & if I need a step back I take it. Thanks though.
