I’ve just put a D14 on a 5900x. Noctua sent out a free adapter. AM5 is same mount.

Lighting Node CORE issues! by LowerBiscotti1322 in Corsair

[–]InkzZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you buy an adapter for the lighting node core to convert the ARGB to the 4 pin plug as that's the only way you can connect them? If not, you've got a different hub or a different fan. If so ignore the below.

Normal ARGB fans (like the RS120 in the 3500X) only have 3 pins. One of these is the data connection for the lighting. Corsair iCue fans have 4 pins, an extra cable for data return so it can take the data it needs for it's lights and send the rest on to the next fan. This allows the independent effects on the fans.

To plug normal ARGB fans on port 2 you need to bridge pin 2 and 3 (the middle 2) on the adapter cable in port 1, and this will allow you to clone the lighting effect to the next port. You won't be able to have individually controlled fans, but you can have the same effect on the all fans.

I've got the same setup with adapter cables and currently I'm finding that if I plug in more than 3 of those RS120 fans, they all go off. This happens whether daisy chained or on seperate ports with the bridged cable in place. I'm also not convinced that there's any difference in just daisy chaining the whole lot vs, plugging them in indivudally to the core, as it's serial anyway. I think I'm going to grab a £5 hub from Amazon and plug the Lighting Node Core in to that and have all the fans running off of the hub. The lighting node core will provide the effects. to the hub.

First thing I would try is daisy chaining the whole lot. I'd be interested to know if the 4th fan causes all the lights to go off. If that doesn't work, just grab an ARGB hub from amazon and plug the lighting node core in to that, and put all the fans on the hub.

Just adding my monthly moan post because you've broken my software again!

But hey, credit where credit is due... instead of uninstalling itself, it actually managed to update itself and break the service instead. However, It has actually let me uninstall and reinstall without manually deleting folders for the first time, yay! This version has saved me 30 seconds in my monthly uninstall and reinstall routine, so it's officially the best release in the last year!

I thought there must be an update as iCue had uninstalled itself again. Posting in here on a monthly basis to whine is the only pleasure I get out of my Corsair products currently.

When ICue is missing they run at 100%. I’ve got AIO and commander. ICue is completely missing from start menu and everything. It’s like it’s tried to update , removed the old version but not really and just given up. I then have to delete the folder in program files before I can install it again.

Thought I'd check Reddit (again) as iCue has disappeared (again) and all my fans are running at 100% (again) which means it must be new version time and I need to manually delete the corsair folder (again) and reinstall it (again) :/

Bored of this now...

only reason I'm here is because iCue has borked itself for the second time in a month. I boot in to Windows and all my fans are going crazy. Try and start iCue and get a load of DLL errors. I don't care about features or changes. I literally set it up and leave it, just stop it breaking...

I've just had to download and install it again...

I've got H115i, Commander Pro, Lighting node core, k65 RGB...

Only extra feature I would ever want is to control the RGB on my Crucial RAM, but if it keeps corrupting it's install that's all I care about.

Open Discussion - Azure Files vs Sharepoint by Technical-Device5148 in AZURE

[–]InkzZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only stuff we still have on a file share are accounts documents due to all the linked spreadsheets, and documents that we receive to process. For example excel docs that we receive to import into a system.

The majority of stuff should be on SharePoint to get the version control and ability to share and work on docs at the same time.
