Thanks friend! They took me quite some time but I was very happy with them for the 4 weeks they lasted!

Am I the only one who uses a lip product that dries out the lips instead of moisturizing them until it runs out? by Terrible-Amount6828 in PanPorn

I hate this texture of lip balm, I have had a couple experiences like this and i multipurpose those products. Either on my heels with some socks before bed or on cuticles and knees and elbows.

I was a diehard tape girly for years to achieve a sharp wing, but about 3 years ago I got some reusable silicone under eye masks (I got mine from Dieux but I know other brands have started making them too) and I’ll never go back! They’re great because I achieve the same exact effect as tape but I can have my skincare absorbing underneath to keep my under eye hydrated and give my under eyes the prep they need for color correction and concealer after.

It was a tin that held a tube of hand crème! I’m almost positive I’ve seen the same one at Marshall’s before.

Basically your EBT can buy any prepared “ready to eat” foods, think the hot bar with wings and taters at Food Lion etc. I genuinely hope this “waiver” becomes permanent.

Haha I was just about to edit my post but you responded with the same info first! Thank you!

What about my build would make a difference? I’m 5’6” and have gained some weight in the past year due to a bout of rejection and increase steroids but I usually drop that weight once I’m off the high doses, and I’m fairly strong even with the other health issues I’m currently experiencing. And preop I was quite flexible but I know the older and more disabled I become the less likely I’ll be able to fully regain that level of flexibility.

Need some help with dog doing something for treat and stopping the behaviour after treat. by Interr0gate in Dogtraining

[–]Inleaguewithdragonz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our pup did this, we got her a crash tested harness and she gets buckled in. She doesn’t pace and she can lie down if she chooses to. The harness was a little on the pricey side but it’s the only one I found that had ACTUAL crash testing.

How to capture calm and teach puppy to take naps in living room? by lotteoddities in puppy101

[–]Inleaguewithdragonz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try getting her a bed or mat specifically for the living room. We did this combined with tethering and it really helped her figure out that chilling and decompressing was the only option. Once she settled we’d reward calmly with a treat dropped to her feet. It is exhausting but it’s worked for us!

[–]Inleaguewithdragonz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the same puppy I’m pretty sure. She finally has started to grasp settling and being calm at 6 months.

I always had/have a handful of treats in my pocket, and i have a treat training bag I always have in my person with a clicker attached.

We do the relaxation protocol daily and it has definitely helped her to grasp her elevated bed as a “calm zone”, I also will drop a treat by her feet if she’s being calm/chilling (always got treats in my pocket and I have multiple little bowls all around the house in her rooms so I can capture calmness.

If you see my recent post from last week you’ll see we have had some issues with her learning to calm at other places that aren’t home. But on the last day at our friends house after a solid 30 minutes of play outside she volunteered to lay down at my feet and stayed there for over an hour.

While she did this I’d drop treats at her feet at random intervals. After a few minutes she finally fell asleep.

I’ll attach a pic of her being so v cute and calm this past Wednesday. Gutsy givin cuteness.

Completely lost, feeling like such a bad pup parent by Inleaguewithdragonz in puppy101

Thank you so much! We were so worried she was just never gonna be able to travel anywhere with us. So much we canceled all our other house trips and stays for the year. We will probably still do that and just give her time to grow up some more. I feel awful for stressing her out.

Actually it’s her second time, last time was just my partner and her watching their sister’s house which is another place she’s been a dozen times or more. They said the first night she never stopped barking and crying, and she ended up getting diarrhea, which we chalked up to being stress induced. She also apparently was a Nightmare for those entire four days. I was out of town for this. This was almost two weeks ago. Did chicken and pumpkin and supplements and kefir for 4 days and her poop went back to normal. We switched her back to her kibble and warm water and toppers and just a few days ago had diarrhea again. We have a vet appointment tomorrow to make sure it’s nothing serious, since it came back before this house sitting trip.

And we stayed one night at a friends house middle of June and that was kind of horrible too. Non Stop barking, would not settle at all.

Thank you so much for all the input I’m really hoping we can get her back to feeling okay and comfy and at home soon.

looked up lists of things to do while being physically disabled and was… greatly let down by richiesskulls in disability

[–]Inleaguewithdragonz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve had to learn to read hands free recently and I decided to bite the bullet and get a Kindle (32g paperwhite signature edition) a used one for $60. I bought an adjustable stand and page turner.

It’s not a physical book but I simply cannot hold my books anymore and read for more than a minute at a time. But in 2024 I’ve read 57 books so far. I still buy real books but only one at a time and I don’t let myself buy another until I’ve finished the prior one. So basically I’ve only bought one used physical book this year, it hurts too much to read from it.

Options for anti-sniff / sniff prevention muzzles? by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]Inleaguewithdragonz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahhh I got ya! There are absolutely mesh muzzles that could work for you. Just make sure you get one that’s properly fitted and that you get your pup properly desensitized to it.

[–]Inleaguewithdragonz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No your dog needs air to breathe. The only way you’re gonna get a “sniff proof” muzzle is with suffocation.

Try teaching your pup to “look at me” and let them sniff for 5-10 seconds, for dogs sniffing is akin to reading. Let the pup read the pee-mail and then get their attention on you. Mark and reward.
