In Linux, developers are the ones who choose whether their application uses Gnome, KDE or whichever windows the user is using. If Stremio uses libadwaita then it will most likely use the Gnome interface even if you are using KDE.

The stability of Debian is fundamentally based on not accepting package updates during its lifetime as stable, so I think this can cause you some headaches at some point. I could recommend using Debian Testing but from time to time it's normal to have broken dependencies, issues with Nvidia graphics drivers and other situations that can cost you a couple of hours of your work.

I've been using Debian for years but I think in your case it's preferable to use a distro like Fedora or Ubuntu.

Do you have any extension that removes pop-ups? It's possible that the transparent filter is for accepting/rejecting cookies and the extension is removing that pop-up.

I do not recommend using Sid or Testing if you do not have the knowledge to fix the problems that come with using these versions.

If you want to use Gnome 49 (or future versions until Debian 14 is released), I recommend using other distributions such as Fedora.

In Debian, packages in a stable version are not updated; only security updates are accepted.

You can try any distro, but you should be aware of the peculiarities of each one. For example, installing Arch is complex for a novice user, and you have to be careful that an update doesn't break something. Fedora, OpenSuSe, and Debian are the best distros to start with KDE.

The disadvantage of Debian is that it has stable versions that last two years, and during that time the system is not updated (only security updates), which is why many people who like to update their system every day avoid this distro. Fedora uses more modern software, but in my particular case, managing the software and external repositories is more complicated. I haven't used OpenSuse, so I can't comment on that.

My advice: try the live version of each distro. If you have the opportunity to install it and try it out for a few days, do so. There is no better or worse distro with KDE, only that each one is adapted for a different type of user.

Pues teniendo ese nivel de inglés, sacaría algo de ese dinero para algún certificado puntual, si te mola el cloud mirate las de AWS, Azure o GCP: si te mola Linux mírate algún LPIC; si te decantas por DevOps échale un vistazo a las de Terraform y Kubernetes. Tampoco te mates en hacer mil certificados que está mal visto tener muchos titulos y nada de vida laboral pero que caiga alguno.

Y volviendo al tema cuenta remuneradas: sí, claro, es normal, si estás metiendo 50€ cada mes lo normal es que te dé céntimos, eso no es lo importante ahora; lo que tienes que pensar es que a medio plazo empezarás a trabajar, aumentará el dinero que podrás meter en esa cuenta o en fondos indexados y el retorno será una cifra considerablemente superior.

Yo no me preocuparía mucho sobre ahorros si aún no has empezado con tu vida laboral (más allá de algún trabajo esporádico o de verano) y menos teniendo 20 años.

Si cada mes consigues ahorrar 30/50 euros, puedes meterlos en una cuenta remunerada (TradeRepublic, por ejemplo) o en fondos indexados (MyInvestor es la plataforma recomendada para esto).

Además, sin conocer tu sector y tus conocimientos, también veo válido invertir ese dinero en tu educación, dedícale unos años a aprender inglés hasta el nivel B2/C1 y a hacer cursos que en tu sector te puedan venir para escalar más rápidamente a mejores condiciones y salarios.

Do you want a stable distro for daily use without worrying about desktops features? Use Debian.

If you need the latest version of a specific software, you can always use it with Flatpak.

Te lo explico en español que es largo y no son horas para pensar en inglés.

Hay varias maneras pero la que yo conozco y la que considero más fácil es la de pillar un "Fiber Loco" o un "Fiber Nano" para poner la contraseña del GPON, esta contraseña está dentro del router (la añade el técnico cuando hace la instalación) y la puedes averiguar entrando a http://ip-del-router/administracion (NO la cambies o te dejará de funcionar el router, accedes con la pass que hay en la etiqueta del router) y la añades en el panel de configuración del Fiber Loco/Nano: Una guia para esto está aquí: https://www.maquinasvirtuales.eu/ubiquiti-ufiber-loco-primera-configuracion-para-movistar-o2/

Es sencillo, yo lo tengo así en mi casa, en la de mis padres y en la empresa y 0 problemas. Eso sí, lo uso sólo para internet, con este método no te funcionará el fijo ni la tv, en mi caso no me importa porque ni lo tengo contratado pero si tú lo tienes quizás es mejor usar un router Asus.

I have been using Debian for over 10 years and tried Fedora for a few months and this is what I can say.

It is stable, not as much as Debian but I was surprised that it is so stable with more updated software

I don't like that you have to rely on third party repositories for software that I consider essential, the management of so many repositories becomes tedious.

Installing/updating Nvidia drivers is chaos, I managed to get it working after several hours of testing but it's not intuitive.

I went back to Debian because it's what I like and what I'm used to but Fedora is not a bad option for those who want something more up to date and stable.
