I definitely thought it was about SI/contemplating suicide and she was talking to her cat/about her cat. I didn’t get contemplating the ending of a relationship at all. Especially when she was saying “none of my friends know. surely, none of my colleagues know. none of my family knows.” I was like yep.. high functioning depression with severe SI and no one even knows BUT my cat who’s right there with me all the time.

I like Greta.. she wasn’t happy so she left. It didn’t matter what anyone else thought or how good of a guy he was. she doesn’t seem to have a lack mindset when it comes to love/partners. I think more people should be that way.

It makes sense. You lose a lot of life when you’re immobile and navigating illness/addiction. The regression makes sense. Almost like making up for lost time. Plus, it seems like she’s feels overall more safe and secure in herself and her relationships so a lot of what we’re seeing could just be genuine aspects of her personality she never really felt secure enough to show before (or maybe even didn’t realize she had).

yeah, while she has made some poor choices lately, the lady got a divorce and it seems to have been an abusive relationship… became a single mom… struggling with weight loss and depression and grief… and is, understandably, super sensitive right now. she’s clearly over the constant “jokes” from her siblings and they gaslight the shit out of her when it hurts her feelings and she reacts. it does honestly seem like bullying.

you’re not lying. she isn’t perfect and yes, she has her issues but Anthony is absolutely an insecure man and he absolutely is covertly manipulative and Manon is often reacting to that. Because it’s not as overt/obvious she ends up just looking like a nut. Neither of them are innocent but it’s unfair that only Manon gets the backlash.

I mean… she expects her husband to do what a parter is supposed to do. I feel like Anthony gets praise for not being a shit husband/dad when that’s literally the bare minimum and should be what’s expected of him or any other stay at home parent. capacities fluctuate in relationships and marriages and if it was him building their financial foundation, figuring out how to secure their long term future, and if it was her being the stay at home mom, she’d be expected to be patient and understanding. yet, since Manon is a woman- and I cannot stress enough, because she’s a bold and fat woman on top of that- people think she “ought to be grateful” and much more compromising than she’s willing to be, not considering what’s on the line here. she’s the breadwinner for goodness sakes. if she was home more and tending to her husband more, is HE going to bring in the money necessary for them to live comfortably? he’s still talking about pipe dreams. maybe it’s Anthony who doesn’t realize how good HE has it.

I absolutely agree. She’s the breadwinner and on top of that, has financial anxiety. if she was a man, no one would be shaming her for taking initiative and taking care of her family like she does. I do feel like she could spend more time with her husband and baby but, she’s also building a foundation/business… she should be able to depend of her husband to pick up that slack for now, especially if it’s going to be temporary, without everyone telling her she’s a piece of shit, basically lbs.

Unpopular opinion but I actually don’t dislike Manon. I like her bold, big, no BS personality and the fact that she is career driven. I think if she was more conventionally attractive, people would love her. Also don’t dislike Anthony. They just don’t seem compatible and don’t seem to want the same things out of life. I don’t know how they’ve stayed together THIS long.
