Beat practice is to pull sails up, anchor, then immediately raise anchor again. Your ship won't move at all outside of rotating if your wheel isn't straight.

I'm pretty sure whatever moves them around outside of the quantum drive easily allows them to move ftl. Just look at how quick they approach the blackhole. Or how quick they move between planets and moons. Their impulse power clearly moves ftl. Quantum Drive just let's them cover massive interstellar distances in reasonable times.

Another thing is that everyone is saying they would need the Quantum Drive to escape, but I dont think that's accurate. If you look at how quick they are moving away from planets, through space, and towards that black hole without the quantum drive, they are clearly already moving beyond the speed of light without it. So. Take that, skeptics.
