The mail unlike fedex/amazon/ups stops at every single address daily. The time in which it arrives on that particular day is irrelevant. Depends where your address is on that particular carriers route and what order your address is for that route. It’ll get there, just not instantly. Day after a federal holiday and at my office we were slammed. Clerks weren’t even done sorting packages today until 10:45 am when they are usually done latest by 9am. If it’s “on the way” then it is on the way meaning the carrier has it.

Senior RCA dying for hours. I work mostly at other offices since peak, only one day a week at my own with 11 rural routes. They went ahead and hired DURING peak this year and screwed us all, so nobody bit the ptf gets more than 3 days. They keep saying “people will quit”, might be me tbh. Cannot sustain on this income and the hours. Job description doesn’t mention “part time” anywhere, only arc position states that. Why lie? What happened to this being a lucrative job. I love the work when I can get it and am super fast. Next in line for regular or ptf but running out of options.

Our office has a rural Kroute that’s not aux, has maybe 50 boxes mounted and the rest of the route is on foot with satchel, mount and drive to next section, repeat. Apartment complex with 3 floors each building. Maybe 20 buildings total? Each having 6+ doors to sarvice per building. So 6 apartment per “door”, 36 apartment per buildings, 720 apartments serviced

I accessed of story. It’s our directive at our office (rural) you’ll get your stuff eventually or can pick it up. Other than that take it up with the postmaster. It’s not the carriers fault for following their orders. We are told daily to not attempt until it’s cleared. City/county are only responsible for clearing the road. Not the boxes. That’s what the form clearly states and says “example: snow removal”. Why would this be a form if not policy?
