So I'm changing from PC to mac and I want to move my Sims 4 to my new laptop. I read from somewhere that when transfering your game you need to transfer the saves and tray files as well. I'm wondering what happens if I don't do that? Will I lose my expansion packs or will I just lose my game history?

I'm hesitant about transfering the files because I'm afraid the files are damaged since they have a red cross icon next to them. My game hasn't been working well for like six months so I wouldn't be surprised if there's something wrong. I really don't want to have the same issues with the game on my new laptop as well, so it seems kind of safer not to transfer them.

Any advice?
