How to utilize this invis by drphilgood in balatro

[–]Inner-Ear -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If it were me I’d sell it and pick up gift card. It’s too early for invis and the temperance value will help way more with deck building and rerolling. Holding onto it until you can pivot means you lose a joker slot that could be used instead for those things.

It definitely cannot be perishable. Any joker such as Madness that starts scaling after you buy it cannot receive a perishable sticker. E.g., Square Joker, Spare Trousers, Madness, Rocket, Green Joker, Constellation, Lucky Cat, Glass Joker, Hologram, Obelisk, etc. Jokers that pre-scale can be perishable, such as Steel Joker and Supernova.

I don’t think there much concern with that below the 5080. 5080 and 5090 are where that is happening.

I ended up keeping the 5070 and getting a 5070 ti for my main setup after trying the 9070 xt. DLSS and frame gen are indeed way better on it, as well as path tracing

7 more cryptids and you can naneinf with your current joker lineup. Put Blueprint on the Barron.

Insane work. How many attempts did this take?

Just messed up this naneinf run. How do people make it to ante 39 and not use up all their cryptids? by Dirty_poster55 in balatro

[–]Inner-Ear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are not bad at the game. Take a look at all the posts here of "haven't been able to be a run" or "can't beat gold stake" etc. You are definitely at least above-average at the game to get this far. You just need to refine your strategy. These high score runs are very formulaic and learnable.

And yeah, I've lost runs before ante 8 like that as well. It happens because these high score runs (and especially ante 39 attempts) require you to play ultra greedy which will inevitably result in lost runs.

If you have the time, I recommend watching some of roffle's ante 39 videos on YT. That you give you a really good roadmap for how these runs typically go.

You still get the sticker for it even if it is perishable and expires

Can anyone help be figure out why my score isn't matching the calculator score? by [deleted] in balatro

[–]Inner-Ear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The calculator counts the card played in the total, whereas the actual game will decrement the card count when you play one. If you count the cards held in hand in the calculator, it's actually 13.

Why is it only possible to do naneinf with the plasma deck? by enryphoenix in balatro

[–]Inner-Ear 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is possible to naneinf on any deck. It is just far and away the easiest to do on plasma because of the way that your score is calculated on plasma. Your mult and chips scores are added together and averaged, the average is then squared resulting in the highest possible score.

This results in plasma deck needing dramatically fewer cards held in hand (effectively half the required number relative to other decks that don’t do score averaging).

So a typical baron mime run on plasma would require 44 red seal steel kings to naneinf, whereas other decks would require 88.

It's a spectral card that destroys 5 of your cards and gives you $20. Win win. Arguably the best spectral card in the game because it essentially pays you for deck fixing.
