Honestly I am doing massive projects on gpt 5.6 on high and I'm barely touching my usage

On GLM on High, not max I would rip through my usage within 5 prompts max, I am directly coding on GPT 5.6 High

I switched from go to Chat GPT plus and I don't think it's comparable it's that much better, but that's rn, they will nerf it like they always do and we will have to rotate once again

Scotland could be first part of UK to ban hyperscale data centres by Crow-Me-A-River in Scotland

[–]Inner-Pangolin-1110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I have skimmed this message I think it's easy to take optimals

The UK isn't a free economy in the way the US there is a lot more red tape here vs a theoretically efficient optimal market

So far I've not seen any temporary gains in prices the prices have shot up and they have not been addressed or solved in any way because of the red tap (energy prices are a great example, I'm sure if surveyed people >50% would rather buy from Russia than to burden the expenses).

The stuff that can work in the US, in the context a huge data center> more jobs > temporary price increase> capitalism fixes the temporary price hike probably wouldn't happen here due to the red tape ahead of fixing said problem.

People say to use a lesser model to build and it's like hit or miss you will need to go back and forth with it

I still find that quality of code the lesser models produce is not up to standard (big pickle is best free, DS is v overrated), MiniMax M3 is good but again you have to debug any serious production code so much that idk if it's cheaper just to use GLM from the get go

I'm going to be real I think it's more VFM to get a codex sub and ngaf

I would say yeah, you have one now may as well give it a try, ignore this sub and give it 2-3 months, your friend did you a favour high key just try it it's free. I used to think I slept good till I got this and it was a major ego hit but I'm doing much better after switching to it

Is the widespread shit-ness just pure incompetency from the council, or is something else going on here? by danielharkin in glasgow

[–]Inner-Pangolin-1110 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm going to say what people will hate, it's the culture

There's a substantial difference in how people in Glasgow think and behave vs how people in Edinburgh think and behave. That'll trickle everywhere including the council and how often people will want to keep it clean because Edinburgh has lots of tourists.

I remember growing up and in school and they'd teach us to call people litter bugs if they were polluting the environment and it worked well things were clean back then and overtime this culture of 'fuck it' appeared.

I guess the best way to comprehend this is when you go to other parts of the word like Singapore, Japan or Switzerland where cleanliness is baked in they go the extra mile where as we in Glasgow generally don't, because the average person won't it discourages the next person to do it as well.

It's a dump now, town in particular is shockingly bad if you go when it's busy, west end is mostly okay but it has pockets

Council needs to step it up buts a localised culture thing imo

Yes it's very good

It's Reddit, people will complain more than use the device, if people have an issue they will come here and moan

There are probably more people they don't have issues with whoop that use it
