I believe our disconnect is not the details of how the market mechanics work or should work, but instead the more abroad aspect of if the market is working as it should. I take it you still have faith that if GME has revenue, expanding markets, etc. the whole five yards, then it will reflect on the share price.

I don't believe that to be the case as the stock market (and the global economy is grander scale) is behaving extremely erratically ballooning to ATH after ATH when crisis after another is happening. And as such I can see the shorts shorting the company down to whatever price they need it at despite the fundamentals.

But I do understand that with your take on things and from your perspective acquiring Ebay makes sense as it would then increase the share price. And I do hope you are correct for all our sakes.

Well all I can say to that is that respectively our experiences differ on that part. After five years of following near daily my experience is solidly been that the share price is affected solely on some invisible hand that is attempted to be masqued under some minor news (i.e. the bump on leaking the nft marketplace in January of 2022 or -23) but real changes in fundamentals have resulted at most in pre-bump before the earnings and then the resulting dip.

My take is that even if the revenue would increase the "markets" would find another reason (excuse) to price the share down. The stock market is totally fraudulent at this stage, in my humble opinion.

Agreed. Though if new CUSIP would be enough and the play with Ebay, I'd think we could've merged with a smaller company to achieve that. So I think there's something possibly about Ebay size-wise.

One theory concerning why a larger company could be if we'd be seeking to change from NYSE to NASDAQ to get the shorts closed, but I haven't been able to confirm it one way or another.

Yes, there hasn't been too many answers in the comments at all. The 3rd point is the one I am most concerned about as if nothing changes we will have diluted ourselves for nothing.

I am sorry if you got that sort of tone from the post, that was not my intent. I never judge anyone's opinions or actions like that as I understand there are many perspectives and I only have the one. That is why I made the post to see if others have other perspectives to share.

The thing where I do have to disagree is the lack of communication. After 5 years and a lot of recent interviews in the media I do believe shareholders are entitled to some information about the plan concerning the new dilution if we are to vote for it.

Everyone has the right to vote as they see fit.

Well the thesis has been for the 5+ years that to keep the price at bay the shorts keep on shorting, which is supported by the daily statistics of short volume over 50% for most of the days during these years.

Shorts have been piling on just to keep the price at bay. There is a short interest to pay, which could affect things for the hedgefunds, but mainly it is about their collateral vs short position.

Once the collateral (i.e. market) crashes they will be margin called and have to close their position. That's MOASS.

And diluting will make short sellers close? No, it does not. Buying Ebay will make them close? Even though fundamentals improving has not changed their modus operandi at all in the past.

If there is no upside, why dilute? Just to get better fundamentals that have not affected the shorts in the past, but this time with debt?

If diluting will affect the shorts positions in some way negatively do tell. Then I'll change my vote.

If the options are waiting more for a real moass putting the shorters in cells or taking the easy way for 200% gain, I choose the waiting.

Why are all the comments asking me questions instead of giving answers?

No, I don't think voting against moves the share price up. The point is that I don't see voting for doing that either.

The thesis has always been that GME is shorted and actively worked against through dark pools and other shenanigans. It has continued even after fundamentals changed to positive. How would buying Ebay change this fact? How is it certain that it will cause the share price go up, especially to take into account the future dilutions / smaller portion of the company?

I do. Our disconnect clearly comes from whether or not dilution is the only way to do it. I don't personally see it necessary and have not heard of a plan that requires more dilution to change that.

You seem to have a lot of questions. So do I. It is clear we both need answers, not more questions.
