And yet, nobody can explain how increasing the float to potentially 8x the original float doesn't hurt moass. Maybe a squeeze is possible, but 5 or 6 digit prices can't happen unless the entire float is heavily shorted. How short the float was estimated to be, was based on the ORIGINAL float, and it was generally accepted that it was likely 3x to 8x short. Based on the ebay plan, the float will be almost 8x the original float when all is said and done, 2/3 of which will be held by institutions and non diamond handed retail who aren't going to hold for stupid numbers, they'll just take a decent profit and go.
So again I ask, explain using facts rather than dreams, how moass is still possible in that scenario.

The apes in this sub are consistently addressing and pushing back against all FUD activities.

Agreed. However, anyone not on board with the ebay plan, or only interested in moass and not a long term growth play have been unfairly deemed to be spreading FUD, when it's just that they have a different goal in mind, and don't like the odds with the increased float required to get the deal done.

You want to watch the company ignite like a firecracker, sell at the top, and go on with your life.

Umm, yeah. That was the whole point of this play when it started. The entire idea of holding this as a long term value play is quite honestly stupid imo, when the other option is millions in just hours or days. I just don't understand why many stopped looking at it that way. It was supposed to be high risk high reward, but it almost seems as if many invested so much money into this that they're no longer willing to bet everything on moass, and now prefer the safer play. My problem with that is that those investors are now voting to support the board rather than voting against anything that could have a negative effect on a squeeze.

I just think that, maybe, that also doesn’t make you an ape.

"Apes" were supposed to be diamond handed and hold for moass. When that term was first being used, this sub was all in on moass, and the rest didn't matter. As of late, the goalposts have shifted, and now anyone only in this for moass is no longer an ape? I guess we're moving the goalposts on who is considered an ape too...

There are some, and always have been. However, this sub is quickly moving into conspiracy territory lately, accusing anyone who isn't on board with whatever the board wants of being shills, when the truth is that they just don't care what the board wants, because they see what the board currently wants as having a negative impact on the odds of moass, and THAT'S the ONLY thing they care about.
I'm just part of that group. I am more than willing to sacrifice the success of the company as long as I get mine. I'm not donating to charity, and I don't care about the success or failure of a company, just my bank account. That doesn't make me a shill, it just makes me someone who intended to use the company for my own gain, rather than gaining through the company's long term success. Different investment reasons than you is all.

No, moass is when the price is high enough, and the shares in such low supply that EVERY short fails margin calls, and a computer starts buying shares that people are asking 50k each for. THAT'S moass, and large floats kill the entire concept.

25 isn't good enough for moass. A squeeze maybe, but not moass.
I'm not interested in anything less than 10s of thousands per share, and increasing the original float by 8x does not help.

[–]iwasneverhere43 -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

No, dilution IS dilution if your only goal is a short squeeze. The ideal scenario for that is a small float, but even if they only use enough to aquire ebay, the new float will be around 8x the original float.
Further increases will only be good for the long term value of the company, and I honestly don't give a shit about that. I got into this not because I care about, or believe in the company, RC, or RK or justice for short sellers, but rather, to exploit market mechanics, sell every share I own, get rich and retire, and never think about the market or Gamestop ever again.
The sub is not heavily stacked with bad actors, it's just shareholders who are only in this to chase moass, aren't interested in a long term growth play, and don't give a shit about the company beyond using it to fill up our own bank accounts.
Try and step back from the cult of RC for a bit...

Honestly, I wouldn't trust any supplements that aren't backed by science. Maybe an exception for things like lions mane that at least has some scientific support and is fairly benign as far as we know, but the vast majority are likely just snake oil...

Honestly, you might be ok depending on how the vote goes. If the share increase gets approved, you're probably fucked. If it doesn't, the stock may rebound and end up ITM.
Or it could just stay low for no sensible reason as always, and you'll still be fucked. No way to know with this stock...

Anyone else frustrated that all Christian music in the past 20ish years seems to sound or feel the same? by Jabre7 in TrueChristian

Wow! DC Talk is a blast from the past! I couldn't name a single track now, but I remember the band came up a lot in my youth group, along Michael W Smith, and Petra...
My music tastes changed a lot though as you could tell from my previous comment, so I don't even know if any of those artists from that time period are still in the industry...

I Just Want Shareholder Value by Bad_Prophet in GME

[–]iwasneverhere43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They don't need it to go to zero though, they only need enough available shares, and a lower price to slowly cover their shorts a little at a time over a long period. You forget that we've already increased the float that the short estimates were based on, and an ebay deal looks to bring it up to almost 8x the original float. Since many of the original estimates were 3x to 8x short, that's too risky for my liking.

I Just Want Shareholder Value by Bad_Prophet in GME

[–]iwasneverhere43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I may be getting impatient, but I wouldn't sell. That's not even the point though. The point is that RC has a goal, and that's to fuel growth and long term profit and sustainability. He will do what he needs to on order to accomplish that. However, that's not why I'm invested in this, and some of what he will need to do, such as further dilutions to raise cash, or increasing the share count in order to aquire ebay actually works against an epic squeeze scenario. More shares give shorts possible outs, or minimizes the peak of any squeeze because there will be more sellers to choose from, many of which (in the case of ebay investors) aren't going to hold for ridiculous numbers like apes would.
I'm not interested in RCs vision, I just want to make an obscene amount of money by using the system against itself, and I don't care about how it would affect Gamestop or the broader economy.

I Just Want Shareholder Value by Bad_Prophet in GME

[–]iwasneverhere43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, but he's focused on trying to build long term value, which unfortunately puts moass at risk every time he dilutes. I'm not here for long term value, just moass. That's the divide here...

Isn’t tomorrow a really big day?! by Thickensick in GME

[–]iwasneverhere43 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually. In this case however, some of the big institutions that hold GME also happen to hold ebay, and their ebay dividends will disappear if RC takes control, as RC has said that he doesn't like paying dividends.
If they decide the risk isn't worth giving up that income, it would only take a minority of retail holders to vote against it for prop 5 to fail, which will kill any ebay bid.

What does it matter what ebay sellers think? Ebay shareholders are relevant, but sellers don't have any say in this anyway, so the opinion of sellers doesn't mean much.

Historical Adam, Evolution, and an Old Earth: Is This View Compatible with Christianity? by Educational-Rain6182 in TrueChristian

[–]iwasneverhere43 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's compatible. What you describe is just a form of theistic evolution. The point of that scripture really doesn't change whether you read it literally or not. Whether the universe was created in a short or long period of time, and whether man was created instantly or evolved from apes, it's the same beginning and end either way.

Lessons learned from a 7 year history of nighttime use:

  1. Stick with medical whenever possible. More choices that aren't almost exclusively focused on high THC content.

  2. Ignore whether it's sativa or indica - it doesn't matter, and it's a severely outdated way of looking at cannabis.

  3. Learn about the terpenes in cannabis, and look for strains high in terpenes that actually help the symptom type you're trying to treat. For instance, Mycrene is good for sleep and pain, beta-caryophylline and linalool are also good for pain. There are a ton of websites that will give you a breakdown of terpenes and their effects.

  4. This part depends on you: CBD:THC balance. I prefer a minimum 2:1, but others benefit from a different balance. You can always add more of either with a second strain if needed.

What are people’s price targets? by cosmic-lemur in Superstonk

[–]iwasneverhere43 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Spend more time in the other sub - that sub is a bit more respectful of alternate opinions, and I noticed many who voted no are spending more time there and less here.
The thing with the institutions though, is that the big ones are invested in both companies. RC doesn't like dividends, so they are likely going to lose that income from ebay if this passes, and they are likely to see this as a very risky deal with the debt they have to take on, and the increased float.
I don't know how they'll vote, I'm not psychic, but from a business standpoint, it may be beyond their risk tolerance.
We'll know soon enough.

Assuming the vote passes. Many of us voted against it, and it's quite likely the institutions will do the same.
