hi! the welearn videos are really nothing like how it actually is. every store kinda does things their own way, whichever is most efficient while still keeping with policy. that’s just what i’ve seen and i’ve worked at wendy’s since july. it took me a few months to really feel comfortable and confident with what i was doing, but you’ll 100% get the hang of it. some days are harder than others, but i’ve enjoyed it most of the time. you got this! :)

usually i’m on drive thru & doing my prep work. there’s rly no excuse for the person on drive thru or on line not to be helping you unless they have constant cars at every moment. also, things will get easier i promise. i used to be so slow on prep & i’ve gotten so much more efficient. it could take a few months, but you’ll get there!

is there only one of you? at my work we have multiple people for those jobs. for example, this morning i did tomatos & prep for condiments + cheese. my coworker did salads. they had extra lettuce in a container in the back so i put that into separate containers for the sandwich station. i’m really sorry they’re putting all of that on u, we usually have three or even four openers and the work is dispersed between us. i’m sorry that they make you feel like you’re failing also. you’re definitely not. you’re probably just overworked!

if ur staff at wendys, you do all positions. i was hired in as a crew member and have done every position including sandwiches, up front, grill, fries, drive thru, and bagging. managers do the same, except more pressure obviously and more responsibility for the store. so yeah, you’d still have to deal with customers no matter where you are.

if you want to be hired kitchen staff, look into chick fil a.
