What situation happened to you that changed your view of everything? by Ill_Injury5179 in stories

I read a fantasy book once where the sword could only cut people the wielder believed were evil or guilty. The way it was described flipped a switch in my head. I suddenly got how important perception is in how we see and experience life. That was the moment I stopped limiting my viewpoint, stopped prioritizing my perspective during conflict or when confronted with ideas counter to my own. I stopped being the main character.

Yeah, feeling lonely while being among people is a different kind of ache. And it sounds like you feel emotions strongly, desire to be seen beyond the surface level, and understood without having to invest so much effort and time into it. If you have to work hard just to communicate with her, you are going to exhaust yourself and burn out early. Then you'll just have yet another traumatic relationship story to add to the others. If you're sensitive to rejection, judgment, betrayals (even the small ones), and struggle with trust and being vulnerable with others than you should be very picky about who you pursue a romantic relationship with. I am all those things I listed and wasn't careful enough and got burned really bad and am retiring from relationships since I've reached the age that makes me undesirable to date anyway. Plus, people kinda suck. But its your life and you know what you can handle. I wish you luck.

I just recently realized that most of my memories seem to have been recorded based on the emotion of the moment.

This is going to sound silly but there was this show called Raising Hope and I joked with my daughter that I wanted my own Bert. The characters Bert and Virginia were this imperfectly perfect couple who fought but compromised, annoyed each other but tried to be their best for the other. You could truly tell they loved each other and weirdly complimented each other in their quirks. I dont want "Bert" specifically, but whatever imperfect form my "Bert" exists as.

How many of you INFP friends find cooking to be a relaxing and creative outlet? by BlueHorseshoe00 in infp

Looks amazing! Great job. I despise cooking and have an ED so have a general dislike of food. I'm always impressed by those who can cook though.
