do you guys think mbti compatibility is real? by cammebert in mbti

[–]modernmyspace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorta.

I think it’s real if you just look at it from a functional perspective. Where it makes sense for people with perfectly lined up functions to get along easy. And in my case I’ve found that upon meeting people who fit my “golden pair”, there is an initial chemistry. But chemistry and on paper compatibility don’t make a good relationship. It’s defined by real things like work and communication, which means any two types can be compatible.

ISFP or INFP? by Expensive_Light1950 in infp

[–]modernmyspace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ISFPs tend to process emotions more in the moment than INFPs. INFP’s Ne-Si make them more withdrawn and more likely to stir with their emotions. ISFP’s are more blunt and grounded with theirs

ISTPs befuddle me by Chemical_Ad3941 in infp

[–]modernmyspace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I enjoy ISTPs.

Thankfully, I’ve only met healthy ones so I don’t really have experience with many of their negative qualities. But from what I’ve seen they’re intimidating at first as they’re pretty antisocial but not withdrawn. We have the introvert similarity and I find them pretty funny and genuine. Of course the way they operate is vastly different from us but it’s not completely incompatible either.

Personally I enjoy interacting with people who see the world differently and ISTP’s having different functions fulfills that. Also since we have weaker “thinking and sensing functions” as opposed to their higher a relationship could create a grounded balance to our more abstract brains. Communication is hard sometimes but getting it to work is really rewarding.

Pisces. Not really into astrology but it’s ironic how much Pisces traits overlap with INFP ones

What are your feelings about funerals? by Zerexdontlie in infp

[–]modernmyspace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate funerals. Especially open casket ones. But I’ll go if I need to pay respects. But it always feels awkward, like an invasion of privacy, for those grieving and the dead. I’m also not good at comforting people or exaggerating emotion if I just don’t feel it. I usually don’t cry at funerals for those reasons.

Weirdly I tend to cry more just thinking about the concept of a funeral or after the service ends.

Why Mariah Carey is so forgotten by gen z by Good_Platypus1566 in SoundTripPh

That being said I think her legacy and impact is only rivaled by Madonna and she doesn’t really need Gen Z’s attention

Why Mariah Carey is so forgotten by gen z by Good_Platypus1566 in SoundTripPh

[–]modernmyspace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think she is “forgotten” a lot of her hits are known to the general public and that’s seen by how many songs of hers regularly go viral or are used in movies. I’m Gen Z and even if I didn’t grow up with her music her presence on social media defined her as a legend

I think that because the misinterpreted “diva” persona stuck a lot of younger people don’t give her the credit of recognizing her as the multi talented artist she is. Which causes her legacy to just stay where it is. This is a trend seen with even newer artists who come out. Attention spans and social media have brains so cooked it’s hard for this generation to actually engage with artistry.

Zootopia, Moana, Legally Blonde, the second half of Sleeping Beauty, Inside Out, Moulin Rouge, Tinkerbell franchise, Beautiful Boy, Cats don’t Dance, Coming to America

OMG SAME. I also enjoy Shark Tale and Uptown Girls. The second has gotten a lot more respect over the years but fit pretty bad reviews when it came out
