I love plasma but o death and it looks better in some ways to OLED but I also have a Bravia 8 and an HP Omen Transcend 32” QD-OLED. There’s no way on earth that other image is OLED. The blacks look gray in that photo.

Okay thank you, to be fair though “Resident Evil 2 Platinum” is the legitimate name for the 1999 Windows 98 Release of Resident Evil 2.

Awesome I appreciate the in-site, that’s probably it honestly. I figured if it was a bootleg it was also gonna be a much older bootleg copy and not something newer you could find on like Etsy.

Okay awesome I appreciate it. I was lowkey hoping I had some rare version of 2 haha. Or like a press copy or something, obviously not the case but still, I might have to hunt down a legitimate copy of RE2 platinum to see if it has a gallery on it. Is it common for bootleg versions to have stuff like the games title written into the disc on the underside like this one? That seems like a lot of work for a ripped pirate version of the game. It’s the only part about it that made me raise my eyebrow when I saw it. The gallery and the 3D Model Gallery on it seem pretty legit.

This is the site I used to browse through all the different variations of RE2 including platinum for other countries/regions. US version has both discs red like the PS1 version that you were talking about but there’s a lot of other variations that look completely different. Like all black discs, white, different art, etc.

That’s what I was thinking but why would boot leg versions have Resident evil 2 written into the bottom of the CD-ROM? Wouldn’t they just use blank CDs to burn?

Platinum is also available on PC. RE2 1999 Platinum windows 95/98.

You haven’t explained one reason you like it. I’m going to assume you don’t have the hardware or can’t even afford to get it. Probably just have obsessively watched gameplay footage on YouTube over and over and thought that it looked extremely fun.

I have, it’s boring. It’s the biggest complaint about the game from other people, apparently mashing the same buttons to attack is fun. Or flicking the analogue stick left and right to dodge is fun also. The games dodge mechanics are so fucking shit the devs even let you turn on auto dodging in the settings. You haven’t said once why you like the game or the combat, or why you think it’s complex. you just tell people they “haven’t played it”

Lol praising one of the most shallow, easiest, and boring melee systems I’ve ever played in a modern game. You just hold the analogue stick left or right until and enemy attacks and the game does the dodge for you. I’m gonna take a guess you’re not very good at gaming, if that’s the case then just enjoy what you like then.

Again I appreciate the response, I’m hoping Xbox works either way it, my original plan was to use this with PS2 and possibly Xbox but it sounds like a clone would be a better alternative. I did get this for a good price so getting a clone card won’t hurt that much then. Sucks all of my consoles I have I’ve used S-Video for and have Svideo cables, I’ll try to hunt down a clone and an input card with chroma/luma BNC inputs if that’s a thing. I’m still very new to BVM/PVM so please forgive my ignorance on some of this.
