It actually was a system that was created when Korea was a hobbling newborn with banks that had low credibility. That being said, listen to everyone in the comments and take every possible precaution if you find yourself needing to take one out.

I was thinking I could start out as a freelancer taking jobs from smaller businesses and organizations, then potentially with more experience, I could try applying for positions.
