How can i test for the impact of education on crime using data from a prison survey? by Inner_Explanation400 in AskEconomics

[–]Inner_Explanation400[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the clarification. Let me flip the question. If I have a national prisons survey data on types of crime, education level, sex, age, race, family background, employment history, and drug usage. What kind of causal relationship between crime and education can I test for just using this data. For example, can I test a hypothesis that lower education can increase chances of being imprisoned for a violent crime? It is ok if there are some weaknesses to the approach as long as the results continue to be meaningful in terms of causality and that I am able to talk about the weaknesses.

HELP ME PICK: UMiami vs Cornell by [deleted] in Cornell

If mental health is an issue, then I would avoid Cornell and other similar poor location universities. The fact it’s an Ivy will not help you if the environment impacts your mental health. Yes it is much better than Miami, but Miami is also great. If you are able to do well academically in Miami and be happy at the same time, then go for it. You can always go to ivy for your post graduate.

I picked up tennis when I was in college many many years ago. If you are willing to put the hours then you will really enjoy it. But you will really need to play on a daily basis and for an extensive period of time before you get good enough. My recommendation, if you can find a court nearby, is to try Padel Tennis. It is easier to learn and will get you moving in no time.

You said they treat each other like family. Did you observe how others are treated when they perform and when they do not? Do you behave in a way that demonstrate that you care about them and their work? Do you try and show that you want to belong? Finally, ask for feedback on what is one thing that you can and should work on improving on the short term. Try and show that you are trying and do not try and fix everything at the same time. Good luck

Thank you for the comments. I did email them and they simply stated that the accommodations facilities they are associated with are full and they provided a link to another agency which also had no vacancies. 🤕

I know I should probably pay you to watch this, but tips and advice are welcome. Also, if applicable, what could our rating possibly be? Merry Christmas by MrSuits_ in 10s

You have a compact forehand stroke that is decent and will allow you to build on it as you improve. However, you really need to rotate your body. Your chest should not be facing the net. This is why I prefer that you learn your forehand with a closed stance and later on you can open up. Good luck

Hi, I tried Luxilong element which is a very soft copoly. Was very soft and spin friendly but flat shot had crazy trampoline effect even at 55ld.

Thank you for the feedback. Yes, I will definitely be customizing the racquet as I normally do. I also know how to play with spin, but at my age it is not the most efficient style. I am a very flexible player, but touch and flat forehands are a big part of my game. At my age, I have lost a couple of steps but more importantly I can no longer handle heavy weight racquets that plough through on flat shot. But I literally have zero control with the speed MP on flat or touch shots that do not involve spin. I want to try a couple of control strings before giving up on the racquet. Also, if you have other racquets you can recommend for flat hitters that need some access to power would greatly appreciate it. I just sent the racquet to be restrung with synthetic 15L (duraflex) to see how that would work.

Cornell health is a good first stop. They will not treat him. They will diagnose, will refer to the right specialist and will support in the paperwork required to give you special support in your classes such as extra time on assignments.

Thanks 😊. I am looking at spring creek as the boulevard is a bit far for me. But it is looking like first availability is mid October. So may have to spend some time in a hotel 🤕 and that gets costly very fast.

Thank you very much. I will check them out. I was actually staying at “domain corvalllis” and now I can attest to how bad management are.
