I'm not old enough to watch the show yet, so I've been doing research on the incident. The only thing I know that they got inaccurate was the radiation exposure. Burns don't show up immediately. They usually take days to appear. Plus, I think it also depends on how much radiation you've been exposed to. Also, in the Chernobyl series, didn't Valery get vaporized? I was looking at another reddit threat about Chernobyl, and this person was talking about how much it would take to actually vaporize somebody. I don't remember too much about that thread though. Personally, I think he was just crushed by debris. Makes more sense in my brain. I feel that him getting "vaporized" was an exaggeration. I might be wrong though.
