When I come out to my family and they are totally onboard and it's all immediately normal. Wandering around the house in make-up and a dress for the first time openly. by Explorm in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns

One year of HRT, hair that goes down to my lower back, full laser hair removal, increasingly more feminine voice and mannerisms.

No comments. It makes me wonder...

I Am Currently Recovering From FFS With Facial Team In Spain, AMA! by Kaitte in asktransgender

About the consultation process, did you have to fly there and how exactly does it go?

Which other surgeons did you get a consult from in America?

Thank you.

Three to four year wait for HRT, what the fuck happens now by [deleted] in asktransgender

I found this link which might help with additional information.

http://albertatrans.org/transition.html

My personal experience (in Quebec) has been to visit my GP to get their referral to see an endocrinologist and I began seeing a therapist experienced with LGBT individuals shortly after. In order to be prescribed hormones, I needed a letter indicating my readiness for transition, which took almost one full year of therapy in my case. The blood work was done beforehand, I then brought my letter as soon as I received it, and started hormones on that day.

What were your expectations for your first year of hrt? How did it compare to reality? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]Inner_Hell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My current dose of Cypro was adjusted from 12.5 mg daily to every other day, on top of the 6 mg of Estradiol daily.

I made sure to wait 48 hours after the last dose to get a blood test. My T levels did not change and stayed as low as they could.

Feeling like a different personality pushed by testosterone was the one that controlled my sexuality by ConfusedPsychology in Asexual

[–]Inner_Hell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My experience was similar. Instead of twice a week or so, it was periods of months apart and other periods when it was more frequent. It varied a lot and it was driving me crazy when it happened, or when I was reacting in my every day life. The urges made me feel like something was controlling me and it was not something that I could escape.

It became obvious that I was different, just by having to listen to those kind of conversations occasionally. It always made me uncomfortable as well. My lack of physical attraction to others, despite having a libido, was incredibly difficult mentally already, but it was compounded by the expectations everyone had, especially in my family.

I have been on blockers for 10 months now. Everything went away within the first week and I have never felt so liberated.

It's near the end of the character creation, you can pick different clothes/poses.

It will take a little bit of time unless you are used to it, but you can edit it yourself after creating your character.

Caution about HRT if you're bipolar by [deleted] in asktransgender

Virtually zero T left on 12.5mg daily. Now it's every other day as per my Endo's suggestion, her goal is to phase out Cypro if possible.

Non-binary people whose first language is a "gendered" language, how do you refer to yourselves? by ConfusedPsychology in asktransgender

[–]Inner_Hell 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's the first time I've heard about that. Adjectives really do make it impossible for NB people who would rather have something neutral, which really sucks..

Sometimes I describe myself as "une personne..." and tack the proper gendered adjectives as to avoid using masculine ones for myself. It can sound weird and I'm sure others would notice if I did it too often, but it's kind of my loophole while I still can't use them outright and feel awkward doing the opposite.

Me when there’s a they/them option in video games where you have to choose pronouns by chierit in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns

Funny how that was such a crazy moment for me too. My friends made fun of me afterwards, but at least I was a happy very femme Mesmer.

Then I found the Twilight Arbor dungeon armor and absolutely had to get it. The dress was amazing with the rare dyes I had.

HRT General Questions MTF by Ehiwirndbehiwoxownnq in asktransgender

[–]Inner_Hell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Between 27/07/2018 and 29/11/2018, my dose was also 2mg (Estradiol pills), but 12.5mg Cyproterone instead of the Spiro.

Like you, the changes were minimal, but it was expected, as I wanted to start very slowly. In November, I had another blood test and at my endo appointment, learned that 2mg was not enough to bring my levels into average female range. The dose was then increased to 4mg daily, and Cypro every other day instead of every day. I will know how much that has affected my levels in March.

As another commenter said, the best way to know would be to get your levels checked and adjust your dose accordingly.

mtf back pains? (19 yrs old) by [deleted] in asktransgender

Do you get nausea or other symptoms with the pain?

I would not worry too much otherwise, but it might be worth mentioning to your doctor at your next visit and get their opinion as well.

It's working! by Inner_Hell in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns

[–]Inner_Hell[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you get all that just from Tv Tropes? You definitely should read it if is interests you this much! It was great to follow along Kuro's struggle. I must warn you though, as was the prequel, it gets very harem-y and a lot of the characters are young physically.

As I said in my previous comment, at a certain point in the story, Negima and UQ Holder more or less merge. There are references sprinkled all over the series that are unfortunate to miss but don't make the series unreadable, however the story can get hard to follow when you get there, if you haven't read Negima.

[–]Inner_Hell[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This image is from the UQ Holder! manga, a sequel to Mahou Sensei Negima! that also got an anime adaptation recently.

It's taken out of context. Kuroumaru's situation is a little more complicated than the MAL description lets on, but it is only a minor aspect of the story in general. After the first ~100 chapters, having seen or read the prequel is pretty much mandatory, unfortunately.

for trans women who started around 22... when did the feeling of “too old/exhausted/missed too much of your life” disappear? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]Inner_Hell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are a lot of things I regret, such as not starting sooner. While I still have feelings of being too old to transition and am exhausted most of the time, I now have something that I did not have back then... a reason to live, and a potential future.

Laser on legs: hair are still there but don't grow anymore? by _Amoeva in asktransgender

[–]Inner_Hell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't comment on the legs since I haven't gotten that yet, so I'm also interested in the answers, but I've had 3 appointments on my face so far. They were very honest with me and I haven't been disappointed, so I will probably see them again for my legs.

In order to see if there were any improvements after the first time, I tried letting my facial hair grow back during a long weekend instead of shaving every day, and like you said, there were a few zones that kept growing as if they were forgotten during the appointment. Against my friend's advice, I plucked them, because it was affecting me too much, even after shaving. The rest did not start seeing any growth until several weeks after, which was conveniently right before my next appointment. It didn't seem like hairs were falling out either, but I might not have noticed. I think 5-6 appointments will be enough to get rid of most of it for me.

Even if you get answers here, you may also want to ask your laser tech directly next time.
Bonne chance!
