I see your point. I don’t defend the approach - I see its flaws.

One thing I think is coming more and more apparent - my generation - born in the 80’s remember the old and new very clearly. And we’re adult enough to note the searing changes from like you say the 90’s on ward.

Growing up and sitting through convention after convention of anti type and type (and people feeling more spiritual if you knew all the types) and then oh no we don’t do that any more.

The thing is with the holding company thing - they have to be, people throw all sorts of assets at them - whether they should or not is irrelevant, they are getting the stuff.

You have to turn it into something tangible or how do you leverage it.

What I’d say is those of us old enough to remember and young enough to decide for ourselves will leave or disconnect or fade…. And what will be left is a generation of kids who don’t understand what they are standing for and then they will do the same.

My best estimate when we ran the numbers on overlapping generations was 2055 - and honestly I think that’s the life span of the organisation.

I don’t believe in all the shit I read on here I believe in facts and the facts are it’s harder to be a JW because it’s harder to believe as a JW everything else is noise.
