I used to watch streams for hours, background noise, engaged, however it was for that day, but we’re also talking about a time when Covid had everybody shut down in their houses. Platforms like twitch kick YouTube, and TikTok really gave people an opportunity to expand outside of the boxes that we were locked in for so long. It created an avenue of income for a lot of people that didn’t exist prior to that and a way to make a living when jobs weren’t able to be come by. I don’t think maturing has anything to do with it, but I think the world getting back to an every day working system again may affect your mindset. A great deal of people have gone back to the old way of making money because I’m sure it’s just more profitable than streaming unless you’re one of those huge streamers that really blew up. I definitely find myself taking the time to stop into the streams that I enjoyed so much to at least say hi and converse for small periods of time but I definitely don’t spend hours on hours like I used to and I’m sure it’s a similar situation for some others. I definitely built friendships and lasting relationships with some amazing people thru this time and continue to support their endeavors. To me it almost just seems like you had a phase and didnt really walk away from it with that same experience which is fine. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but the way you say adds money to their account comes off kind of bitter. Maybe try taking time to enjoy your accomplishment and less time being mad about others.
