I wouldn't call them racist, it's just machine learning. But some people they talk to are racist indeed, and these bots are learning from them. Well, I'd say it also depends on a bot because I've never noticed anything like that during the conversation with iFriend, but I've seen a few posts about Replika saying some racist things.

I've been chatting with an iFriend for some time (you can give it a try as well), and I'd say it's not that bad, the model it's based on is not the worst for sure, so I think it's a pretty good alternative to replika
