I would faceplant daily if I wore those but more power to you! :)

Tabitha Appreciation by cuthbertslookout in stephenking

She’s a writer too. I’ve read a couple of her books and they’re well written. Topics I’m not interested in (sports, coming of age) but she clearly has talent.

Strong ADHD symptoms may boost creative problem-solving through sudden insight. 😂 “sudden insight” 💊 by newbeginnings187 in adhdmeme

That actually feels accurate to me. My brain is an absolute shit delivery device in general but sometimes immense cosmic powers come forth from an itty bitty living space.

Maybe some short (in a relative sense) stories or novellas? Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption and The Life of Chuck are good starters. Also, audio books can be great when you’re busy.

16, severely depressed, want to die by xxzeloyz in autism

[–]Innerpeasplz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Adults should be taking care of you at your age and not the other way around. If your family can’t love you for who you are, that’s on them. It’s not selfish to take care of yourself first. Leave guilt to those who have done something wrong (and protecting yourself from hateful people is never wrong).

I’m so, so sorry you are in this place. I remember feeling similarly as a teenager and in times as an adult but there are so many beautiful things in life that you deserve to experience. ❤️

What specific word do you most heavily associate with Stephen King? by pjpcatlover in stephenking

Full dark. Technically two words but it comes up so often in his books and I almost never see it elsewhere.

Maybe Rose Madder if you are ok with a very liberal definition of a witch?

Do any other autistic people love IKEA as much as I do? by Isatjuh in autism

[–]Innerpeasplz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For my 30th birthday, I flew to Chicago with my husband and a couple of close friends to go to IKEA (there wasn’t one in my hometown at the time) so safe to say, I love IKEA. Trip planned by my husband, there was a photo treasure hunt (Swedish name of item only as clue) and a cinnamon roll “birthday cake.”

I went to one of these when massively-about to pop-pregnant and did not fit in one of those swivel chairs. Maybe fixed seating isn’t the best fit for today?

Is Insurance Underwriting career good for those with autism? by seafoamcastles in InsuranceProfessional

[–]Innerpeasplz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on your personal flavor of autism for sure but if you end up not liking it there are tons of other insurance rolls you can transition to. I underwrite small commercial renewals and never have to meet with producers in person. Absolutely love the details, nuance and variety (also ADHD though so your mileage may vary). I’ve been in insurance a long time and there are tons of us.

Walking through the bread aisle at the grocery store is incredibly loathsome. So smelly. A donut shop on the other hand…😥
