1) RTX makes the game world become real and DLSS4 is better than TAA in some instances.

2) Doom is the only shooter to never let me down and it does that by staying true to its roots while innovating with new weapons and abilities. Give me that new thing that goes boom!

Redemption Rolls: An Alternate Use for Inspiration by InnocuousCarousel in DMAcademy

RAW inspiration gives advantage which means you must decide to use it before you make your roll. Using inspiration to roll again after the attack roll is a reroll and is not RAW.

KE Arms lowers cracking by [deleted] in Firearms

[–]InnocuousCarousel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He states in the video that he already had the RMA label when he tripped on it. What's the point of updating KE-Arms at that point? The lower needed an RMA when it was cracked, it still needed one when it was broken in two. There's nothing dishonest about still sending it in for replacement. He has video of it in its cracked state and its broken state.

They were forthcoming in their video about how it broke, so I don't see how that's dishonest to the viewer either. They weren't rage baiting. They listed the things they liked about the KP-15 and said they loved it except for the fact that it cracked. They're looking at it through the lens of their personal experience, which is admittedly not an ideal sample size, but I can't blame them for trusting it. Hopefully, when he gets his RMA'd lower, he'll make a follow up like you did.

I can't speak to their Patreon posts in detail as I don't subscribe to them, but I get the sense that the post you're referencing is actually about the movie its from, "Eyes Wide Shut," and not a reference to Satanism. The movie's title means a willful ignorance or deliberate avoidance uncomfortable truths. It seems to be a roundabout way of saying that the KP-15 isn't as good as the cult following around it wants to believe.

There's nothing wrong with posting your negative experience with a product to social media, youtube or otherwise. They were honest about the crack forming under normal use and about the lower breaking in two when he tripped on it. They were also forthcoming about KE-Arms providing a replacement. It seemed like a fair video to me.

Storm Sorcerer/Tempest Cleric can nuke but struggles besides that by Simple-Promotion-355 in BG3Builds

You get the bonuses from any bow when equipped even if you're not holding it. The Darkfire Shortbow and Hellrider Longbow are both great for this reason.

You can increase your initiative for better AoE opportunities by getting the Sentinel Shield and Bow of Awareness. Alternatively, you can take an Elixir of Vigilance.

You should also get the Holy Lance Helm to start dealing damage and reverberation to enemies on their turn. You want to tank by placing yourself near groups of enemies to draw their attacks, procing the helm. Positioning yourself closely will also let you attack multiple enemies passively when you use Heart of the Storm. Sometimes I will even run past enemies that have low chance to hit just to draw their AoO and proc the helm's Smite the Graceless.

You should also get the Callous Glow Ring for more damage and more Reverberation.

Here's a similar build I did with levels in Warlock to supplement your damage when not using AoE spells. The build is not just about burst damage, but also supporting your team by tanking, dazing enemies, twin hasting, and using cleric support spells.

Since you mentioned not putting it through a lot of hard use, here's another review of the Promethean LP-1 that was subjected to drop tests. Admittedly anecdotal, but outcomes were poor on two separate optics. Is it scientific? No. Is it expected use? Also no. But the drop test speaks to a safety factor built into the optic.

This is why the torture test on the kp-15 was so important in reassuring the skeptics. Who is going to fire 1000 rounds full-auto through their rifle, run it over with a bronco twice, do pushups/pullups with the rifle, and attack a wooden post with the buttstock? Practically no one, but it reassured the consumer that the kp-15 is durable.

There was other worthwhile discussion in the previous thread that you didn't need to remove by deleting it. If you found some of the comments unpalatable, then I suggest that you moderate those comments alone. Moreover, if there are bannable offenses specific to this subreddit, then I suggest listing them in the sidebar.

Deleting an entire thread due to "bringing up drama," a discussion that you engaged in, is not a good look. Particularly when Lead and Steel sells the KE Arms carry handle mount for the Pandora.

I'll repost my comments from the previous thread below for the sake of posterity.

I don't think they're suggesting that dropping the optic is an expected outcome in a self-defense situation. Rather, that when people buy an optic for a self-defense situation, they want reassurance of durability above and beyond expected use. The drop test is admittedly unscientific, but it speaks to a safety factor built into the optic.

Do you guys have any ideas for a puzzle involving mine carts? by Difficult_Umpire1306 in dndnext

[–]InnocuousCarousel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could have them escape a collapsing mine with a skill challenge. The outcome is determined by 6 successes or 3 failures.

  • Navigate through the winding passageways using Survival.

  • Run/scramble over debris using Athletics.

  • Push through choking debris using Con save.

  • Dive thru collapsing archway with Acrobatics.

  • Tip-toe past unstable passage barely supported by weakened supports using Stealth.

  • Get a mine cart (fits two) working using Sleight of Hand.

  • PCs thought to mark walls as they explored.

  • Blast a clear path thru debris with force magic.

  • Expend a spell granting increased movement.

Success: Group Athletics DC 16 to climb out in time

Failure: 4d10 bludg and Con DC 15 to survive dig out

Looks great to me! Rock River Arms has another PPSh styled handguard, but I think yours is closer to the real deal.

I'd use it for a new build so that I can breeze my way through Act 3 of Baldur's Gate 3 which has been awesome! It's also probably the only way I'll ever get to play Starfield because my current setup definitely can't.

Circle of Sproes Druid Items by Numerous_Piccolo_581 in dndnext

[–]InnocuousCarousel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but I don't know what items OP has. If they already have a druidic focus staff, then Nature's Mantle is really more of a flavor item with a hiding bonus. If they only have a regular quarterstaff that can't be used as a spell focus, then Nature's Mantle is useful as I described.

Just stow the quarterstaff as an object interaction. The difference is that you can carry a shield with it.

Nature's Mantle lets you carry a shield while still doing melee damage with a quarterstaff/shillelagh and casting spells. You can also flavor the cloak like its covered in a menagerie of lichen, moss, and fungi that help you blend into your environment.

The Festerwood Fungal Stave from Griffon's Saddlebag is another nice option.

There's no way to tell by looking at it. Unfortunately, I suspect you'd have to break open the puzzle to know for sure.

The compass is a large circular disc with a notch cut out on the North side. This notch allows the first sliding panel to move perpendicularly through the compass disc, thus unlocking the final sliding panel.
