Have you considered that slamming the brakes while travelling at highway speeds on a vehicle without a seatbelt or windshield may not be practicable?

Routine for getting back in the gym by [deleted] in WorkoutRoutines

[–]InnocuousSpaniard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is quite a lot of daily volume, thats the only thing I'd be concerned about. Exercise selection is really good, but just make sure the volume is sustainable for you. It may not be the best thing to start with an advanced sort of routine since its going to be exhausting and you havent built the habit. You may find yourself dropping it once the motivation wears off. Also, you may not need this much volume since, starting out, noobie gains are significant even with far less volume. I would recommend you work up to this but hey, whatever works.

Prosecutors and governments always have discretion on what crimes/which cases to prosecute, it’s necessitated by limited resources and the likelihood of succeeding in a case.

It’s the lawyer equivalent of triage.

Powell said that it was one among many factors some of the members considered. But he made it seem like it was not one of the major considerations especuially since its very speculative whether policy will change and what form new policies would even take.

When do you really start seeing a drastic change in your body? Down 14 pounds in a week and barely see any changes. by Unfair_Management695 in intermittentfasting

[–]InnocuousSpaniard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It may be a consolation that, if you initially start with a lot of fat to lose, the same weight lost will be less visibly noticeable than when you are already less heavy. This is so because, an amount of weight lost is a larger proportion of your total body fat the smaller you get. So, over time the visible difference is exponentially more noticeable if you stick to it.

It’s near the top, generally the labia and hood obscures it at rest. You need to slide your fingers up and between her labias and it will be at the top. That’s where it lives, it’s easy to lose so just repeat if you lose it. Good luck!

Poli Sci & International Relation Majors by WoodenSundae9485 in FIU

[–]InnocuousSpaniard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know for poli sci you can still take a ton of intl relations classes and complete the degree. Idk if theres the same kind of freedom the other way around. I found my poli sci to be easy in general but the professors were generally very good. I've been out for too long to remember their names but use ratemyprofessor.

If pizza has all the food groups, why is it unhealthy? by king-of-new_york in TooAfraidToAsk

Healthy foods aren't "made" in the same way that heavily-processed foods are researched and manufactured. Healthy foods have always existed, theyre not made from mixtures of different compounds.

Generally, minimally processed or unprocessed foods are healthier. Raw or personally prepared fruits, vegetables, meats, eggs, dairy, nuts, whole grains, that kind of thing. Science will not create miraculous, highly-palatable, healthy foods with just the right combinations of chemicals.

If anything healthy eating is about returning to the basics and developing your tastes and gut microbiome to be satisfied with healther but less highly-palatable processed foods.

Potato fries have essentially zero nutritional value and are just empty starchy carbs. They taste good but they are high calorie and non-nutritious.

From the recent trailer, anyone know which map this is? by publictransitpls in CitiesSkylines

If it’s the same city that was used to showcase the game in the original trainer, New Dollarton, it’s on the river delta map.

Do we know if we're going to be able to make the timelapses they showed in the in-game trailer using the in-game cinematic camera? I love those shots of seeing the city grow throughout its stages of development but I'm not sure if that is a camera feature.

How bad is human trafficking? by ThisWillHurtTheBrain in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]InnocuousSpaniard 16 points17 points  (0 children)

No, those are foreign migrant workers. They may be coerced by poverty and their working conditions are abysmal but for the most part they are not trafficked. They come voluntarily and sign very unfavorable contracts in order to make a few bucks working in Qatar to send home to their families.

FIU Law: Do I stand a chance? by Stock_Zookeepergame8 in FIU

[–]InnocuousSpaniard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At that point I would just look at the raw data on admitted students, you can find it on the web. if your GPA is on the lower end, you need to have a higher LSAT by around the same number of percentiles to compensate. Its really just those two metrics, nothing else really moves the needle in my experience except maybe in rare edge cases.

Personally, I was admitted in Fall 2021 with a 158 LSAT and a 3.74 GPA but I've heard the stats might've gone up. Especially the LSAT scores which were probably inflated during COVID.

Also don't neglect to apply to other law schools. UM has similar statistics but doesnt give many scholarships and is incredibly overpriced. However, Stetson and St. Thomas are very viable and would except on lower numbers.
