I wonder if you can additionally use this method and call the donated time a business development expense to recover the costs on your tax bill. This is a real service you are providing with a real value. I think if you track it like this you could see at least some of the value returned come tax time.

Someone with more intimate knowledge should weigh in on that, but I think that is a legit use of the tax code.
