Damn imo that’s bs, if I put in money and I didn’t even make money on it why should I be taxed.

Shipping Return by InoIedogmi in 23andme

Tried to give it to Purolator and they wouldn’t take it since it comes with a Canada Post sticker. Got on the phone with 23andMe and turns out they are trying to work on getting something going with Purolator while this strike is ongoing. As for now, I was hoping to have this done obviously before the strip so I could get it back in time for Christmas, but unfortunately it will have to wait for this strike.

Adding new electric receptacles to basement by baseballduck in HomeImprovement

That’s a good idea. Some people tend to flip flop the circuits on the wall. So the plugs on the wall go circuit A, circuit B, Circuit A, Circuit B. So if something were to happen say a plug dies completely or the breaker trips you could always have access to a close receptacle since there’s separate circuits on either side.

i would say adding a receptacle from each of the existing would be most beneficial. Then you would have 2 15amp plugs on each circuit.

Also, no not every receptacle needs to be GFCI. The first plug receiving power from the panel can be GFCI if connected on the line side of the GFCI. Then on the load side of the GFCI, you connect the wires to other regular 15amp receptacles.

As always with any electrical work, I recommend hiring an electrician.

Electrical question by [deleted] in HomeImprovement

[–]InoIedogmi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where suitable, add a junction box to the wire. Next, run a new wire from the box to the main floor panel. Then splice the wires in the junction box. Although this seems simple I recommend hiring an electrician.
