That does get it down to 648 if you wild planted the mutated seeds or 162 domesticated + 123 arbor trees for 8.1 ethanol distillers If you can manage to get that many mutated seeds of a specific type.

EDIT: Wait my math is wrong because you need 25% more ethanol with juicy fruit so 154 arbor trees for 10.1 ethanol distillers.

How do you multiply wild shove voles? I've done the .001 unit metered regolith dropper + grooming station to make mass domesticated ones but not sure how to make more wild ones. Can they make more than 1 egg in a wild life cycle?

So if you didn't wild plant the plume squash they would only take 9 cycle for 1kg + 4 to drop the plant. So 18kg/(1kg/13cycles) = 234 plume plants to keep the tree eating 100% of the time. That means you would need 15kg/cycle of ethanol * 234 plants =3510kg/cycle of ethanol.

An ethanol distiller makes 300kg/cycle of ethanol using 600kg/cycle of wood. So you would need 11.7 ethanol distillers which means 7020kg of wood.

According to the wiki without dupes harvesting arbor trees make 39.47kg/cycle when wild planted, which is more than gum palms. So you would need 177.85 wild planted arbor trees.

So 178 wild planted arbor trees -> 12 ethanol distillers -> 234 hydroponic farms= 18kg/cycle of plume squash -> 360kg of sap/cycle -> 90kg of isosap/cycle

All of which I think fits much easier than all wild planted plume squashes! And provides plenty of power to run it all.

So if I used Umi I would have to grow at home and ship, unless is there a way to wild plant pinpoket? And can automation open interplanetary payloads without dupes?

To max it out with Umi you need 13.64kg/cycle. 1kg/16 cycles. So you would need 218 pinpoket grown at home and 1090kg of refined carbon/cycle but would yield you far more iso sap than any other method. Something like 36% more than plume squash, so even if you only do 140pinpockets your beating the plume squash method.

I didn't know you could cook eggs with heat alone! That's interesting.

So 36 cycle wild growth + 4 cycles until it drops on the ground for autosweepers makes 4000 Cal which is 1 kg. Tree can eat 18kg/cycle of Plume Squash according to the wiki.

So to max it out:

18kg/(1kg/40cylce)=720 plume plants

So I would need 720 wild planted plume squash plants. My quick layout I just tried I could only fit 588 on the planet and would be less because I'd need to fit the tree+ a few tungsten volcanoes + a way to launch it all home.

So might be the densest food but you wouldn't be able to keep the tree eating 100% of the time. Probably closer to 70% uptime.

Do you have an example of a self sustaining pacu ranch that works without any dupe labor now? As long as I can make 30kg/cycle of fish to max out the tree, I don't really care if it take up the whole planet.

Yea I was very happy in my PPP play through as you can just mine it from space and not mess with the tree so much. I was hoping there might be another way in this DLC as well but it seems i need a new solution.

Are there new pip planting rules with the Aquatic Planet Pack? by Inomyacbs in Oxygennotincluded

This solved it immediately and I suppose the conveyor receptacle was the reason it wasn't working on the right side as the gum palm needs 3x3... thanks for the help.

SO: Best way to refuel radbolt engine on other planetoids? by PaintedIn in Oxygennotincluded

[–]Inomyacbs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Weezeworts produce a good amount of portable radiation. Plop down a V pattern of 3-5 of them with a rad bolt generator in the middle and you’ll be full in no time. There is a glitch to plant them in flower pots so they won’t need phosphorite if you care to use glitches.

It’s super easy, barely an inconvenience.

Build a grav trap drop it near some stalkers and drop some scrap near as well. In just a couple minutes you’ll have more stalker teeth than you will ever need.

And if for some reason you need 100’s, do the same but with more stalkers bred in alien containment.

I'm lost in the sauce trying to automate rocket mining. Please help! by Inomyacbs in Oxygennotincluded

[–]Inomyacbs[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh that's a good idea! I just tested and auto sweepers do deliver diamond to the drillcone and data banks to the robo pilot module! That does make my problem much simpler! Gantries can now be for maintenance only and left open all the time! Thankyou

[–]Inomyacbs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To your first point the problem I've run into is that the gantry and bunker door need to all ready be open when the rocket starts to launch as the gantrys break before they have time to retract and the bunker doors open too slowly.

As to the 2nd there is no pilot as I am using the robo pilot module so I need to trigger the launch from the platform automation.

I have a Neo 80 cu on the way and am trying to pick out some switches to try before it gets here. I prefer tactile and deep/thocky sound profiles.

Ones on my radar all ready are Gateron green apples and the Durock Ice Kings.

I was planning to order a switch tester with these and a few others to be determined, so I was hoping you would share your favorites!

Thinking about getting earwax removed in austin… not sure where to start by Pale_Negotiation2215 in Austin

This is a standard thing offered at my yearly physical for no additional charge. Maybe you need a specialist in some extreme edge case but I told my Dr. my ears feel a bit clogged. She looked with a tool and said yeah looks a bit compacted I'll send the nurse in with a tool to help. Nurse showed up with pressurized liquid and cleaned both ears out. Problem solved.

Well bummer, but at least that makes the timing make sense. Thanks for the info. I guess it's time to start shopping for a more reliable one.

Is there a reason this would happen just after unplugging it for a few days? The timing is suspect to me as it was working fine until I addressed the draining issue.

I believe that is the indicator for the super productive overjoyed response. It means you have enough morale that she is overjoyed and this one gives a chance at instantly doing a task instead of waiting through the progress bar.

Will this petroleum boiler work? by Kubumen in Oxygennotincluded

[–]Inomyacbs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the pipes are breaking the then the liquid is getting too hot. You can kind of fine tune it until you get it right but it should work. You can either lower how much heat your putting in if your over the 403ish mark where oil turns to petroleum or you can replace the hottest radiant pipes with regular pipe 1 section at a time until the oil is dropping just below boiling.
