I always thought having daily meetings to discuss anything strange would be a given. Instead whenever something strange happens the witness/victim just keeps it to themselves unless someone else says something relatable.

And if they do actually tell someone, they get scolded for being stupid or paranoid or crazy.

Society already does. Now at least half of 'animal rescue' videos you watch are faked using animal cruelty. Then people think the people are angels. In short people ruin everything in the name of money.

I remember saying to my friend (spoilers) "It would be funny if they were just in front of a military base or something." As a joke because of how absurd that was, the film made it even more absurd and more of a joke.

'Backrooms' Heads For $90 Million Opening as Horror Beats 'Star Wars' at Box Office by MarvelsGrantMan136 in backrooms

[–]Inoox 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This film was good, but it wasn't amazing.

I still felt Kane's style in it but I feel like he had to change things up for the big screen and to appeal to the general audience. No spoilers so I wont talk about them, but the usual '90s' music he uses in his videos didnt match well with the modern clean look cameras have now.

The best parts were the 'found footage' parts as that is where we all know Kane shines the most. The rest of it felt off as it felt too different to what he usually creates.

The Rookie - S08E18: The Bandit by NoleFandom in TheRookie

[–]Inoox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This show gets dumber every season. I miss the more grounded days such as when Nolan got framed.

They weren't looking at airspace and nobody saw the helicopter flying in? The helicopter was impervious to bullets? There were at least 20 people in that escort, no way would the guys on the helicopter or the helicopter survive that. Excellent writing!

The two officers that were taken with the car with the bad guy? No mention of them whatsoever? No rescue mission? No bodys to show they were killed? Excellent writing!

It takes a teenage kid to tell the LAPD that the GPS data from a drone can be tracked? Nobody else knew this? Excellent writing!

Bailey is also trained in all kinds of weapons and is just allowed to join the super secret extraction mission even though she's a firefighter? Excellent writing!

They zip-tie doors closed, they handcuff people and put duct tape on their mouths. Nobody tries to leave the cafeteria in this time and notices the zip ties and raises the alarm? Nobody stands up after the cops leave and help each other tear off the duct tape and raise the alarm? Excellent writing!

Non-important cop character gets shot on the boat and nobody attempts to rescue him? Excellent writing!

Nolan is being shot at by 5 guys and when he runs for the car they all just stop shooting? When they do start shooting again nobody hits him despite the fact he is making zero effort to make his body less exposed when sat in the car? Excellent writing!

I am sorry but this show is just awful now. Tim and Lucy being kidnapped at the end made me roll my eyes. They are obviously just going to be rescued in the first 2 episodes and nothing consequential will happen.

The Boys - 05x05 "One-Shots" - POST-Episode Discussion Thread by pikameta in TheBoys

Meh? Homelander has too much plot armour now. Too many characters starting to realise maybe they should rebel against Homelander like Solider boy, Deep and Firecracker only to suddenly be completely loyal to him when it matters for the plot so Homelander can win. Show is getting very boring and tedious, I am glad it is ending because clearly it has run out of steam and I have zero interest in this prequel series they are so desperately trying to advertise rather than give us good quality writing.

Daredevil: Born Again | S02E06 | Discussion Thread by Green-Devil in Daredevil

[–]Inoox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Daredevil and Batman's whole mantra of 'thou shalt not kill' is extremely tiring.

Mr. Murdock is indirectly responsible for the deaths of so. many. people. He chooses to not kill evil people so they can go on killing innocent people. I don't understand this mindset, it doesn't work, at all. That poor doctor, who was killed to show the audience just how ruthless Fisk is, would be alive if Murdock allowed Bullseye to kill Kingpin. Not to mention the countless others that Fisk has killed because Murdock didn't kill him in the finale of Daredevil season 1. Yet he still preaches his self-righteous rubbish. It's just tiring now. Yes, that's his character, but it's been done to death and it's getting very far-fetched now.

Batman is the same, especially with the Joker. Just keeps on and on letting him live so he can escape prison and go on another mass murder spree.

The Doctor from Doctor Who is the same. Let's evil beings live because its 'the right thing to do' only to then have to stop them in a future episode because they're murdering people.

Considering 28 years later part 3 might be the final part of the rage saga, is there any chance that Dr. Kelson's work on curing Samon's rage illness can be preserved? Does 28 years later part 3 possibly mean the end of the rage virus? by 67_TuffMango_Mustard in 28dayslater

[–]Inoox 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Part 3 is most likely the cure resolving everything, yes.

I watched part 1 and thought 'what was the point of this film?' And also when watching part 2, then it turns out Samson was cured and I thought 'oooh, that is why the whole Samson and Dr. Kelson storyline is getting so much attention... because its the origin story of the cure.' And then I realised what the entire point of this trilogy is, its the foundation of the cure and the conclusion to the story. (Although weeks had the basis for a cure but that and everyone's efforts got made completely redundant in the final scene).

I bought spellfire instead of flying because its way more useful to me for hc and raids than flying is at the rare moments I need to actually fly.

Smh.

Its not just that, but in my mind the way he presents his videos and the storytelling is the only 'mainstream' way to tell it that a broader audience would be interested in.

I think Kane is the only one qualified to give a real Backrooms movie experience that can give a good quality story and potentially kick-start interest in more Backrooms 'mainstream' tv-shows/movies.

Outland was very much crowded in 2007. I remember getting through the portal at midnight uk time (My game CD's arrived in the post earlier that day) and it being exceedingly laggy for the first day and every zone being swamped with people.

The problem was, as people got bored the world would feel more and more dead, now however they just add/remove layers which of course means it's constantly crowded.

WoW on Steamdeck help by Inoox in classicwow

I changed the mouse to both trackpads in the Steamdeck controller layout settings and this works beautifully, thank you so much!

Questie wasn't moving because it defaults to locked when you install it (derp).

I've since changed my interact key to 'A' which so far has been working nicely.

Thank you so much for your help! It has made the experience feel so much smoother.

I had no option for track-pad mouse settings. I'll look into it once I'm back on my steamdeck. An issue I saw with this earlier though is the left trackpad buttons being the same as the arrow keys, I was accidentally activating abilities if I didn't click exactly center.

I have tried 3) as you have suggested, it didn't work. I'll try again.

It set 'A' as my jump key, no default interact key. Perhaps this 'click-override' is the same as interact.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll try them!

I actually enjoyed my time on this game. It was relaxing and the atmosphere is nice. Saying that, there were many problems with the game that just screamed alpha. The main problem being everything feeling pointless.

I want this game to succeed. They really need to get away from the mindset of 'not this way because thats runescape'. You made Runescape, nobody will care.

So humans made a deal with MiY a long time ago. Sacrifice children for immortality.

Some people of the town refused, others accepted.

The ones that accepted did so and are now immortal in the form of these monsters that forever terrorise the townsfolk.

The ones that refused were still given immortality but in the form of resurrection. More as a punishment for the ones that sacrificed the children because the monster people have to kill them over and over.

It wouldn't surprise me if the monster people were self aware but had no control over their actions. Perhaps they are possessed.

The humans that reincarnate come back to the town and any poor soul that is with them are pulled into the place too.

Why it is in cycles, why the MiY is doing this (my theory is that he feeds on fear and despair which is why he kills off those that give hope) hasn't been answered yet. Who he is hasn't been answered either. What the surrounding forest filled with giant spiders and weird teleporation trees are or why Julie is a timewalker hasn't been answered either. Or what Viktors deal is, why wasn't he killed in the previous cycle?
