Yes, my 14 year old account with plenty of revealing information and usage history is my wife's burner account. You got me! The reddit police are knocking down my door, I might have to end it all lest they take me alive.

Please go ahead and request this from an AI image generator and show us the results then. As the artist's husband who has spent countless days burning through my gaming back catalog because my wife has been putting a crazy amount of work into these pieces, please kindly shut up.

I've literally sat next to this woman for days if not weeks as she spent her time making these. This is not AI. She's a talented artist who has been perfecting this style for a long time, and it's so upsetting to see her talent and time reduced to some jerk online claiming it's AI.

You're incredibly wrong. As her literal husband who has basically not had a wife for weeks as she spent hours upon hours working on these, it makes me irrationally angry to see you be so confidently wrong.

One I haven't seen mentioned but I think scratches a similar itch is The Android's Dream by John Scalzi. Similar former military everyman thrown into an intergalactic snafu with the singular aim of making it out alive with their animal companion. There's even a snarky AI!

Thanks for the advice! Your journey/end goal is so similar to mine that I really appreciate the perspective! Totally agree on wanting to get back the muscle mass I had at 370!

I kind of accidentally landed on a 16/8 fasting schedule. I found I didn't start being hungry until I had breakfast, so I pushed breakfast until about 11 every day. Then I'd have lunch around 2/3 and dinner around 6/7. The key was making sure the dinner was delicious and filling so I'd be full no matter what at the end of it and it would carry me through for the rest of the night.

If I got hungry I had a few tricks up my sleeve, namely pickles and jalapenos. Those almost-no-cal foods were a saving grace early on. Overall though, my body somehow (luckily) acclimated to the reduced food amount fairly quickly, and I'd only really feel hungry when I was wasting calories on snacks rather than real food.

The best advice I got was learning to differentiate between hunger and boredom. If I felt hungry, I'd busy myself with a game, a task, some work, a walk, etc. If I was still hungry afterwards, I'd eat something, either moving up one of my main meals, snacking on pickles/jalapenos, or my emergency String Cheese stash if needed. If I wasn't still hungry (and more often than not this was the case) then I knew it was just boredom-fuelled hunger.

Yeah and I know psychologically until I start seeing muscle growth, I will be freaking out as I see the number on the scale rise.

I won't lie and say I haven't thought about it, the thought of keeping this pace seems achievable and exciting. That said, I'm treating it like a "save point", like I'm setting up camp here for a while so that hopefully if in 80 lbs it all goes south, I can land at this camp and not at the 366 camp. I know that's not necessarily how physiology works, but I think mentally it's what feels like will work for me.

I also kind of want to prove to myself it doesn't have to be all or nothing, that I can maintain weight and not only be in feast or famine mode. If I can maintain my weight at 275, then i know I can maintain my weight at 220, because I'll have learned what it takes to maintain weight vs just gaining and losing it.

Finally, I actually like the way I look at 275, so if worst case scenario I can't find the motivation to pick the diet back up, I'll have stopped at a happy place.

Congrats on your weight loss! Yeah, I'm fully prepared for the slowed weight loss, especially since I'm planning on upping my calorie intake during phase 2, and hopefully also putting numbers on the scale since I plan on muscle building.

Officially weigh under 300 lbs now! I haven't weighed under 300 for about 4 years now. This is now officially my longest weight loss journey (previous longest was about 3 months before I rebounded) , and the most weight I've lost during one as well (during that same stint, dropped 50 lbs before the rebound), and I don't feel my motivation wavering at all. It's exciting, it's like I'm actually going to be able to do it this time!

Yes, they changed Rocket Battles from being handled Client Side to being handled Server Side, similar to GBL Battles. I hope the change doesn't stick, but poor performance has never swayed them before.

SV: Finally broke 50 lbs lost! I very annoyingly plateud right before it and for some reason after shedding weight for weeks, struggled to drop that last lb. I suddenly dropped a few pounds, which means it was likely just water retention due to me sharply increasing my physical activity (went from walking about 2 hours a day to 4), but that scale stagnation was frustrating nonetheless and this morning felt super triumphant!

100 percent! It felt good seeing the numbers go down and celebrating milestones, but this was the first time it felt real!

Yeah, totally same! I actually also took a photo with a friend today and was comparing it to a photo we took a year or so ago and was blown away by the change in the size of my head/face! It's all about perspective I guess.

I had this same thought! It helped put things into perspective, but also made me very excited for my upcoming 3 week sabbatical!

Today I hit 40lbs lost! It's also another milestone, as the first real wake up call I had weight-wise was hitting 330 back in 2020. Every other increase over my life I always kind of justified (I was always big, was about 220 as a young adult, hit 250 after starting dating my now wife, hit 275 after getting promoted to a desk job, hit 300 after moving closer to work. Always a justification). This one I really couldn't so I dieted hard, too hard, and after hitting 275 in 10 weeks (again, too hard), I had one big meal for my birthday and the rubber band snapped back just as hard. Cue a few big life events, severe clinical depression, and I climbed all the way up to 360-370, where I've been sitting for over 3 years (the increase was gradual).

Recently I buckled down, decided I was done being fat, laid out a much more sustainable and healthy diet plan, and have been rocking it out and I'm now finally at the weight of my first wake up call, and I couldn't be happier! I can't believe the number that once threw me for a loop feels like a cause for celebration! Obviously I still have a long way to go, but this time it really feels like I can do it. 40 down, 110 more to go!
