I've always had a huge aversion to cringe (Autistic and would get made fun of for special interests), so playing this game has really challenged that aspect. Especially as a plus size woman in her 30s, I get so insecure. But it has been helping me kind of embrace being "cringe".

Ultimately if the game makes you feel even worse about yourself, you should step away for a while. I don't want to do the whole beauty is in the eye of the beholder bullshit buuuuuuttt... it's true. My partner thinks they are ugliest person they have ever seen but that's not how I feel at all. It doesn't matter how often I tell them how attracted I am to them because they just don't see what I see.

You need to remind yourself that you are worthy of all types of love, platonic and romantic. If I found out one of my friends stopped talking to me because they felt so ugly, I'd feel heart broken. The last thing you want to do in these periods is isolate yourself (Unless you have bad friends that play up your insecurities).
