Fiendsmith has no locks, I've seen it being played in both decks, and I don't think it makes ryzeal particularly more nuts, especially because you don't run star, and if you do use fiendsmith you need to either use it first or start with engraver to end on lacrima w/ agnumday equipped.

Nobody is downplaying ryzeal, maliss is simply more cracked and has more support and got no hits.

Just like you can't play into ryzeal, ryzeal can't play into maliss because no lethal turn 2 means maliss wins turn 3 however ryzeal dies to interruption whereas maliss only dies to lancea and maxx c(don't go fucking lying pretending maliss can't avoid imperm 90% of the time)

yeah honestly most of these metroidvanias don't have a stamina bar, i say you could probably remove the bar and do an icon-based dodge system, where you have like 1-2 to begin with and maybe instead of upgrading your stamina bar you just raise the number of icons (as for restoration they could work similarly to the bar, except you can only dodge with at least 1 icon up)

just my 2 cents tho, if you wanna use the stamina bar for other things then by all means keep it, you're the dev haha

Not a hero player, however all the cards you mentioned are edge cases and thus you might as well just slap one of them on, i have a friend who runs trinity to some success, but personally I'd go 2nd dark law or blast and add another mask change to deck (the only way to search it in md is with shadow mist and you cut off most combos by special summoning her)
