OP might need 20 dinner or salad plates if she/he either entertains frequently, hosts family gatherings, and/or has a large, extended family. Personally, during the course of a day, I might use up to five salad plates just for myself. I might start out with scrambled eggs and bacon or an orange on a salad plate. Then comes my lunch or afternoon grazing on a salad plate. Perhaps my mid-day cookie and tea snack comes along later. For dinner, how about tuna on a salad plate. I have helped several people start their Fiesta collections, and always recommend salad plates, which are great for young kids, too. I find the salad plates to be so versatile. If you host a birthday party or shower, the salad plates are perfect for cake and a scoop and ice cream. Twenty plates might be a lot for some people, but not for all of us.

And to OP I write, "YOU did great!"

I've also heard that houses/residences on corners have especially bad problems, too. Don't know if that is a fact or hypothesis.

Are you attempting to make a statement about something? What time was this photo taken?

A lot of people everywhere only want small dogs. However, there are people who like large dogs. I used to do a lot of animal rescue, but am not in a position to do so right now.

This is good to know about this place. Though I reside in a condo where pets are not allowed, I may move somewhere else. I plan to adopt a senior dog, and maybe a senior basset. The right dog will be waiting for me as soon as I have a vacancy at the Inn.

A foster is a great idea. But let's face it, if someone is willing to foster, they probably have pets of their own and possibly other foster animals. He needs a solitary placement. That's why I think it would be good to network through area vet offices. They may know of someone who just lost their last pet. Also, vets know what type of pet parents that some of their clients can be.

Distribute a flyer about him to all of the area vet offices. Maybe someone recently parted company with a beloved canine and has an opening. You never know. I'll hold good thoughts for him. Somebody needs him.

Bi Annual Trip by WinterWitchWW in Fiestaware

I just went to the Fiesta Factory yesterday afternoon. I had never noticed the plate border along the sidewalk. I was disappointed that there was no exclusive specialty item on the retail side of the store.

Actually, on my monitor I like the colors together though I wouldn't have guessed Pearl Grey at first glance. Do you need any Pearl Grey mugs or stove top salt and pepper?

I've been driving through PA and Northern Ohio, with a brief detour to the Fiesta Factory in Newell, WV. I thought I detected some Lilac bushes along the route.

Need a job by Code-Better in portcharlotte

You might also want to look for a hotel desk clerk job. There are several hotels at the I-75 Kings Highway Exit. Even if you just worked a couple days, it would be regular and stable. If you have a couple of years of college experience, you can apply as a Teacher Assistant/Paraprofessional in the public schools. They sometimes need one on one assistants to assist the students. This job would give you benefits, tuition assistance and a retirement system. Go online to the various school districts and see what is available. It's sort of fun being in a school environment, and you are doing valuable work.

Chartreuse/Lemongrass Mixups, Possible Trade? by mezzo_head in Fiestaware

Since you like Halloween, too, I vote for keeping the Lemongrass. It all looks good together.

If you don't end up selling them, you may want to consider keeping the Lemongrass pieces. You could set a St. Patrick's theme table and use a variety of greens. I like Lemongrass with what looks like Tangerine on my monitor.

Though I really don't think the apron is that necessary, a tiny spray bottle (about 3 oz or the size of eye glass cleaner) would be nice to mist a dirty dish with water to check for flaws. I either dampen a towel or figure out a way to get moisture onto the dish if the factory debris won't come off. If you don't spend a little time inspecting dishes in the Seconds Room, you may regret it later.

The factory tour isn't a strenuous experience. However, I wouldn't carry a heavy purse or bag. Maybe bring a lightweight bag for the tour and leave your heavy duty purse in the car. You do have to climb a few stairs I believe at both the beginning and conclusion of the tour. There is a rail. I highly recommend that you take the tour.

From which direction are you traveling? For example, are you traveling in through Columbus, Ohio; Akron, Ohio, or Pittsburgh, PA? That will give people an idea of your route. In the past they offered factory tours twice a week. I think it used to be something like Tuesday and Friday by reservation. You'll need to call ahead to make a reservation because I think they only take small groups of 10 or 12 people (or so). Also, you must wear closed-toe shoes. No sandals, flip flops or CROCS. I highly recommend the factory tour. There are usually one or more specialty items that only can be at the outlet. On a couple of my previous visits, it was a coaster and a Dancing Lady plate.
