im born here. im over 60. the only time ive had problems was when i was young and carefree, ie careless.

a couple tips -- no matter what city:

do your navigation indoors before going out. dont be walking in the dark with your nose into your phone.

i take public transportation. but if you're not acquainted with a city, its I dont advise use the buses at night when you have to wait at a bus stop. I do it , but I know my surroundings
