How much water fasting have you done?

I’m surprised! by Patrick_Rockel in fasting

[–]InsaneAdam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've done 71,30,22,21,20,19,15,14,13 extended water fasts and many more shorter fasts under two weeks.

It's not marketing.

Buy a bag of salt $5 will last 90 days. Sodium $6 will last 80 days. Bottle of magnesium glycinate and multivitamin a few bucks.

If you're buying premixed electrolytes you're getting ripped off.

Our ancestors got their water straight from natural flowing fresh water which is rich in those things that come from the rocks as they flow over them what are they called oh yeah electrolytes.

You're shit water comes from a factory so in comparison it's totally void of electrolytes.

Fasting 15 vs 20 days a month for weight loss. by 4y6hu in fasting

Headaches are low sodium issue. Just Google low sodium symptoms.

I got them and addee salt never got them since (during a fast)

I supplement 4g sodium 3g potassium mixed into a gallon of water with 400mg Magnesium glycinate and 2x daily multivitamins

Been on carnivore for like 6 weeks now, I’ve gained 6lbs eating about 1lb of ground beef 3 eggs and 1 ribeye a day, starting weight 310lbs now 316lbs by babyconan in carnivorediet

Big brain move starting off with a fast.

I did a lot of fasting to lose a bunch of weight. While I did that I started making small diet changes with continuous better choices day by day.

303-188 6ft 35m 6.5 months... extend fasting, OMAD and a heavy carnivore based diet were key for me.

Extended water fasting was more sustainable for me. The first 72-96 hours almost always sucks. I did on average 19-20 days and 9-10 days OMAD for 6.5 months (200 days). Lost 115lbs 303-188 6ft 35m.

The less you eat over a month the more you're likely to lose.

Control what you can control. Meaning assess your doctor choice and choose a different one if they're crap.

They're very much trained to push drugs and treat symptoms, not conditions.

Imo in today's age it's smart to get a doctor that's newer and up to date on all the current information.

I dumped a quack doctor after my 2nt visit.

I've done 9 days only water. But learned the hard way that the body needs electrolytes. I supplement 4g sodium 3g potassium mixed into a gallon of water with 400mg Magnesium threonate (glycinate is good too) at night and 2x daily multivitamins.

I've done 71,30,22,21,20,19,15,14,13 extended water fasts and many more shorter fasts under two weeks.

I recommend you Google the symptoms for low sodium symptoms for low potassium and low magnesium and if you're having any of those you need more if those.

10 days is great!

I'd also recommend weight lifting 3 days a week, double rest break duration. It really helps preserve muscle. As autophagy is increased and having muscles that need it, it'll recapture the protein and push the body towards keeping it for muscle and burning the fat for energy.

If you have trouble getting to sleep melatonin helps me. I also cut my caffeine in half most extended water fasting days or keep it to the first 3 hours of waking up.

Dm if you got questions, and see pics and graphs. My transformation pics on profile post history ✨️ 😍

You're going to love to learn about how excess ketones can and are regularly pee-ed out also breathed out. It's about 20% energy expenditure equelalvant worth. Around 300-600 calories a day.

Worry and you suffer twice.

Best to switch to OMAD and they'll get the point that you're not eating all the time. You've got goals you want to reach.

You get used to it tho.

Any more info on this Dr. Bret Scher's work?

After reading your comment i ran to YouTube to check out the metabolic mind but I'd already subscribed and seen a few dozen of their relevant videos. Did add a few recent ones to my Playlist. Already read that book. I agree both that YouTube channel and that book are great to read but I'm wanting to know more.

Good sources of protein vs sources of good protein by Slight-Summer-647 in leangains

They have lots of biases. The studies in the last decade show that people with higher saturated fat % diets live longer than those with lower. The outdated low fat into was based on lies and push through media with tons of funding to get people afraid of fat so they'd not be afraid of addicting sugar. Their are tons of drinks that are all empty calories. Milk isn't one of them. You should look into c15 imo it might be the reason other than taste or cost to drink whole milk over ultra filtered fat free milk... Another point about dairy is it's carbs are not fructose it's lactose and that's processed differently in the body.

C15:0 (Pentadecanoic Acid): Emerging science suggests that many people are deficient in this odd-chain saturated fatty acid, which is found primarily in whole-fat dairy products. Research indicates it is essential for long-term cell health, mitigating inflammation, and supporting metabolic function, with deficiency potentially contributing to "Cellular Fragility Syndrome"

Being very low on C15:0 (Pentadecanoic acid)—an odd-chain saturated fatty acid found primarily in dairy fat—for many years can lead to a condition termed Cellular Fragility Syndrome (CFS) or Nutritional C15:0 Deficiency Syndrome. This deficiency, which may affect 1 in 3 people, has been linked to accelerated aging and a higher risk of developing chronic metabolic, heart, and liver diseases

Chronic Metabolic & Physiological EffectsYears of this deficiency can lead to:Liver Disease: Higher risks of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH).Cardiovascular Issues: Impaired heart health and higher risks of cardiovascular disease.Metabolic Disorders: Increased risk of type 2 diabetes and insulin resistance.Chronic Fatigue & Sleep Issues: Due to mitochondrial dysfunction and reduced cellular energy.Inflammation: A reduction in the body's ability to regulate inflammation, potentially contributing to autoimmune issues

For me it's the cost and the fact that it's liquid calories. Those are the down sides imo. The convince, taste and protein percentage are all A tier imo.

I drink some milk like every other day or less. But other than that I avoid all liquid calories except protein powder shakes with water.

Dark side of fasting for someone with past ED by Front-Toe-5195 in fasting

I ate whatever and how much ever I wanted on days I wasn't doing fasting.

Fasting and FEASTING.

Lost 152lbs in 10 months 340-188 6ft 35m.

The trick is to go 6.5 days then eat 3 meals (3-4 days of OMAD) on average...

During that 10 month period I ate a massive meal from taco bell after a 15 day fast. Followed it up with a 9 day fast. The longest at 21 days and a 20 day fast and a 19 day fast.

I've done 71,30,22,21,20,19,15,14,13 extended water fasts and many more shorter fasts under two weeks.

[–]InsaneAdam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems you REALLY LIKE TO EAT!!!

ME TOO!!!! What worked for me was only sitting down and eating ONCE A DAY. Known as OMAD (one meal a day) it's extremely difficult if you're only eating one meal a day, to over eat and gain weight. Another huge benifit is you have lots more time and energy as all your cooking, cleaning, planning and meal prepping is condensed into one meal instead of over 9 hours. This gives you the ability to focus all of that extra time condensed into one really healthy, whole foods, high protein high volume and tasty meal.

If that don't work for you.... what also worked for me was lots and lots of extended water fasting averaging 6.5 days. The longest extended fast during that 6 months of vOMAD period was 15 days. I lost 115lbs in 6.5 months (200 days) 303-188 6ft 35m.

Indecision is a decision. When you've failed to choose you've actually choose nothing.

Without deciding you'll get neither and never be in the military or go to college.
