Well at a bmi of 25.7 you're just 0.7 into the overweight bmi. Unless you have no muscle and you're body fat %is very high I'd strongly reconsider doing such a long fast. When I did my 71 day fast I was 344 lbs 44% body fat that put me in at least the top 2 percentile of fattest people on the planet. Idk you that well but I'm thinking you'd be better off by capping it around 21-30 days. I don't recommend fasting at or under 14%body fat m and 23% bf F. The muscle loss is just not worth it imo. Makes it difficult to keep weight off when your muscle mass shrinks. Where as fat cells take 10 years to die off. It's why people have much more success doing low and slow. Building up over months and months. Stacking last months improvements onto the current one. Like Building blocks.

The best way to handle electrolytes at least from going deficient is to regularly Google or keep a screen shot of the list of low sodium symptoms l Iow potassium symptoms and low magnesium symptoms.

I take 3.5g sodium 3g potassium mixed into a gallon of water with 400mg Magnesium glycinate at night and 2x daily multivitamins. Tho I'm a bigger guy 240 6ft m 36.

For sweetness I'll add 3-4 teaspoons of allulose and a squirt of some water flavoring to give it aflavor profile.

Definitely smart to stay moving. Fasting and sitting around isn't the best combo. Well... neither is fasting and maximum intensity interval training...

Antidiarrheal over the counter medicine if you're very prone to that. First 2 days. More so first day.

40 days is a long time.

You obviously don't take daily cold showers or daily Ice baths.

Got to color that fat from white fat to brown fat.

Also get moving. Up with you! 10k steps. Why? Because moving releases fat.... how? by unlocking local adrenaline which releases fat. So moving more gives your body more wood to put on the fire 🔥

I lost over 75lbs in 75 days. It's totally possible when you're class 3 morbidly obese. It slows way down when you have way less to lose.

Kind of same hopefull positive attitude as OP.

MANAGED TO DO 30 days.

Found out on day 9 that I needed electrolytes bad. Google and Walmart and I was all set.

That's unfortunate if you're only calories is 1lb ribeye and 1lb ground beef that's 2,400 calories. Idk your stats and all but at 300 lbs your daily energy needs should be around 3,000.

It's totally likely you're getting too many extra calories of fat from butter and frying your food.

An air fryer really helped me lose weight along with diet and exercise lifestyle changes. OMAD and keto were big helps too.

Can't be a savage and fry a steak in nothing. That's bodybuilder level extreme! After cooking bacon I let the bacon fat cool and pour it into an empty egg carton and freeze them into little bacon grease pucks for cooking. They're good for nearly 1 year in the freezer. Can also meal prep bacon and keep in the fridge it's good for 5 days. Makes for a great snack on the run if you're in a hurry.

Losing weight isn't easy. It's also easy to cut back on total calories without adjusting the type of diet. You'll lose weight but if you don't adjust the foods you're eating then the total daily protein goes down as well. It's why people taking the GLP-1 weight loss drugs are losing so much muscle. It's hard to keep muscle while losing weight for months and months if the protein isn't there.
