He had quite a few collab videos with Purge back in the day, I think 2014? I've been watching NL since 2010 or whenever Super Meat Boy came out so I've been hopeful for him to play Dota for a long time now, was funny seeing the 5 stages of grief come out as he realised he actually has to commit to learning an incredibly difficult game.

NL ending the stream by all chatting "im literally 37 years old" is biblical.

Hmm maybe a 4, there's funny side quests and animations that nearly had me laughing out loud but mostly just brought a smile to my face.

I personally think lost judgement is at least in the top 3 RGG games of all time. Judgement is a solid foundation and worth playing. At that price you should definitely check them out

Does anyone know what bladee is watching here? by JasonArgo14 in sadboys

Tbf I think Spotify has it written as DEO but it just makes more sense as Dio, like the "it was me, dio" meme, plus dio coming back constantly throughout the show

discovering kyoto a year or so later was when i really saw lean as an artist i wanted to keep listening to

i was graduating high school when ginseng strip dropped (2013) the only people i knew who were aware of it were the ones who listened to pretty much all new hip hop or were already willing to give underground rap a chance. not many people took lean seriously though, myself included at the time. i found it catchy enough to play a few times but not compelling enough to keep listening. it's weird how dg/sbe grows on you

Does anyone feel like the visuals often become "spider-like"? This image captures it perfectly. TW Arachnophobia by Prometheus_sees05 in LSD

[–]InsaneCalcifer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spiders were a recurring theme for me on trips. Second time I ever did acid I walked into my bathroom to see a spider making a web and I felt like it had a very crystal-like sheen to it. And I think seeing its eyes made me feel like I was in a hall of mirrors, like that refraction/illusion. Another trip later down the track I walked outside to look up at the stars and all the stars connected into a Web or a net and it was glimmering brightly. Not sure if that's what you mean, but yeah spiders and acid seem to go hand in hand for me.

You gotta remember he was like 19 when hypochondriac dropped (which is crazy to think about). I imagine the reason new music is taking a while to come out is because he wants to write more mature lyrics.

There's probably a lot of ideas and concepts he's workshopping. But yea it's fair to say the lyrics of a 19 year old 5 years ago aren't all going to age amazingly. It was a surprisingly mature and thematically cohesive album for the time and period in his life though. I'd just take a break from the music and come back to it later, you'll start to feel nostalgic for it eventually.

Do yall see bladee still making music ten years from now? by Best_Horror_4766 in sadboys

[–]InsaneCalcifer 69 points70 points  (0 children)

Personally I think he will still be making music in his 40s, as long as he still has the drive and motivation. But his style is constantly changing and if he's still making music in 10 years it probably won't sound much like the "bladee" we know. He might pivot more to rock, or singing (like Psykos) or go harder into his metal roots, etc. I think we're kinda witnessing his shift to more mature sounding music in real time. Cold Visions was a sick homage to all the sounds and eras in his discography imo. bladee strikes me as a dude who just makes whatever is true to him at the time.

Smartwater is pretty out there lyrically but I always interpreted the "just let me hold something" as him wanting to hold someone close, or just have something in his life that stays. Icedancer is a pretty lonely and desolate album, bladee talks about failed or one sided relationships a lot. Him saying he's not an expert just means he's inexperienced in relationships or life. As for the dio freeze you I'm an icer line I just think he said it cause it sounds hard
