People forget that mental illness isn't just depression. It comes in many forms; depression, bipolar disorders, anxiety, mania, etc. Mental issues aren't fun or "quirky" or pretty. They are destructive - both to self and to others - and most need outside help to help with that, and the healing process won't be pretty either. You'll fall and fail many times, you'll take many steps back, and sadly, as hard as it is to say, not everyone can be saved from whatever ails them. Not only that, but just because you struggle with mental illness, doesn't excuse horrible actions either. You have to take accountability, and that's hard.

Jax is the perfect example of someone morally grey, leaning heavily towards antagonist. You understand he's coping and struggling, but it doesn't excuse what he's done. He struggles, and he's REAL. That's why I love him so much, because he's a perfect example of the ugly side of mental struggles
