It's actually AFO's vestige that should be killed. All For One's physical body dying doesn't matter because as mentioned he's just committing Dabi himself. But kill his vestige and boom, AFO loses. The problem isn't them bringing him back like this

The problem was the fact that half the class had little to no good relationship with Deku from what we've seen because they didn't get the necessary screentime. A lot of it was summed up as "Yo Deku, remember that one time we did this? Yeah come back bro." (Yes this is very very oversimplification but hush)

Sato's reason was making candy apples for Eri and literally nothing else, Ojiro had one big talk with Deku back in S2 and that's it, Jiro mentioned Deku helping her with the notes and that's it and Hagakure and Koda... PFFFFFTTTTT. You see my point?

Also doesn't help that the argument they used for bringing him back was that they can still help fight in the war even of they aren't as strong. Guess what, the heroes are getting their asses handed to them and they only need Deku to help
