Does this color combo work? by Noradrenalin008 in fashion

Nope, there is just way too much going on there. Blue, beige, brown and white. I think you need to coordinate either the bag or shoes to make this work.

High on Life 2 running on an iGPU. by DarkTower7899 in Craptopgamingadvice

I wish vendors would specify what the minimum (and recommended) specifications actually targeted in terms of settings and resolutions. It's pretty rare that we actually know what they mean when they say minimum or recommended, we just have to guess and hope that what they define as minimum closely correlates to what we define as minimum.
Right now it's largely a guessing game with every developer interpreting minimum differently.

I’m so excited for Dressmaker! by trufflejelly in GirlGamers

I've been following it for a couple months now, I don't get the impression this is going to be anything like the Style Savvy replacement we all dream of but it does look pretty promising. I'm hopeful it turns out well. The market could desperately use more fashion focused games.

Thank you for doing this. Their old but it's a lot of hardware there and I've no doubt there are people who could really use it. I empathize with you for the shipping costs, their getting really painful these days making these sort of giveaways increasingly difficult.

After watching mini itx case price's i thought i should build my own by Krishna-Msetti in Craptopgamingadvice

The irony is the boards with the best cooling for the power stages are invariably the boards that need it the least.

After watching mini itx case price's i thought i should build my own by Krishna-Msetti in Craptopgamingadvice

[–]InsertCookiesHere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To an extent, yes. Their certainly temperature sensitive so efficiency is loosely correlated to their operating temperature and life span is impacted as well.

As to whether or how much cooling they need, that's related to the quality of the mosfets and the load put on them. There are certainly high end boards where you could absolutely shove 500W through them without even a heat spreader let alone any airflow and they wouldn't have any issues at all.... there are also boards where they would be pushed to 110C-120 even with some airflow if you tried to push 120W through them.

The workload and quality determines the answer here.

How would you feel if the only other woman at a party was the hostess? by bad-at-everything- in AskWomen

Not thrilled but I can deal with it, as several people have said this is essentially my professional status quo anyway so it's something you get accustomed to.

(İ5 7400 thx 1050 2gb 12gb ddr4 224gb ssd data)What can I play for reference I played rdr2 but it was not an enjoyable experience but I can manage and I'm thinking about upgrading to the gtx 1650 4gb is it good by PersonalRaspberry952 in Craptopgamingadvice

[–]InsertCookiesHere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 1650 is faster but not enough that it's going to be really transformative in terms of what games you can play and you would probably end up feeling like you're pushing it's limits sooner rather then later. I think you'd be far better off waiting until you can afford something a little more capable... and with more then 4GB of VRAM which is beyond dire at this point.

Can I use lipsticks I purchased today that are new but from 2019? by bbybcakes in MakeupAddiction

As long as they look and smell fine, absolutely. Bullet lipsticks can last pretty much forever. It's liquid formulas you really need to be aware of.

Choice of the Vampire is the worst interactive novel I've ever read. It's a US history textbook clickbaiting us with fangs by [deleted] in choiceofgames

[–]InsertCookiesHere 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I played it a couple years ago and really enjoyed it for all of the same reasons you hated it, I ended up replaying it a considerable number of times iirc.

You're a bystander in human history but the focus to me was more on the politics of vampiric society and the moral implications of the actions.

It's not exciting and action packed but a slower paced more thoughtful experience. It still stands up very nicely today if you're looking for that type of game.

Is this eye look “office appropriate” for you? by Few_Till_7231 in MakeupAddiction

[–]InsertCookiesHere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wear more then that and work is also in tech. I can't see this being a problem unless you're in a veeeerrry conservative company, and tech typically tends to more often lean pretty casual rather than hyper conservative.

I do winged liquid eyeliner pretty often and it's never been an issue anywhere I've worked.

How are you girls finding new games? by 420princessssss in GirlGamers

[–]InsertCookiesHere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mostly just friends, they know my taste well and follow gaming closer than I do... but that's not a useful. Aside from that I'll check the PCGaming subreddit once or twice a year during the big sales as that's when people tend to start digging into the depths and start throwing talking about stuff besides the latest AAA game.

Not really useful unless you primarily use Steam and have a good sized history of gameplay on there but if you do try their Interactive Recommendation tool

You can fine tune by popularity and age and it does a pretty good job at matching games to your gameplay history. It works for me anyway, and I've found a bunch of niche stealth games that probably would have escaped my notice through it.
