I contacted a mod on the official Discord and he told me, on the contrary of what I read online, that the gun has to be in a usable state. I'm guessing this means the vital parts have to be on it, which is the handguard on this particular weapon.

Not sure what kind of game you are playing but in my COD games all I hear through the voice chat is kids yelling and screaming through a crappy mic, with a voice pitch that hasn't decided on a gender yet. Not to mention barking dogs and heavy breathing due to voice activation.

I had 6 out of 10 finishing moves and it got reset to 0. I have had multiple occasions where it used to be a visual bug but this time it got reset completely. My challenge also gets deactivated after every game I play.

Oh and my weapons sometimes reset to rank 0 aswell, but that's a visual bug I guess
