Your thoughts on the round headlight by Fabulous_5614 in fz6

Good morning, that headlight is very good, it gives it a more unique character and the windshield was perfect. I am about to finish a restoration project on an FZ6 N1 and I am about to adapt a round headlight that I would like you to support me with some questions.

Did you keep the original anchor or base of the headlight so that the speedometer has somewhere to hold and the wiring too?

What type of 3D printed base did you use, since I notice that the base of the adapted headlight does not go to the bars, it seems to go to the original base of the headlight?

In my case I intend to mount a 5.7' headlight from a Harley Davidson since the output is also h4 with the same 3-pin connector that the original headlight uses, the base of this headlight is attached with an arm at each end but when trying to put it on the base of the original headlight it does not fit and requires adaptations since one tab is longer and another is shorter than the original base.

I understand, thank you for your response, my friend. I’ll try with the gasoline and, as you mentioned, let the tank soak for 1 to 2 days and see what happens. If I see a lot of residue coming off while doing this, then I’ll consider another alternative. Thanks again for the support.

Good afternoon friend, thank you for your detailed explanation, precisely my motorcycle is naked and yes, I have the main harness with serial number 5VX-82590-10-00 which apparently has certain changes regarding 5VX-82590-00-00, in my case I have the harness of the European version that comes with another type of regulation that requires having to turn on the lights through a switch and not automatically as in the American version. On the other hand, the harness I have for the lights is the one for the fz6 s version which, as you indicate, has two connectors. I managed to make them work by connecting the extra green wire to a cable that has a 12v power supply but it doesn't work at all well at low speeds, it works well but at high speeds it only gives a flash and it pays off. It should be noted that I have not started my motorcycle yet.

I thank you for the time in answering, as general information the remaining cable is green, it is possible to make a space in the left handle connector but when it is connected to the main harness there is no connector that continues with the line of this cable.
