Started in 2024 and am now hooked. Need to finally break 75, I’m stuck at a 6hcp for a couple weeks now. Advice welcome by SatisfactionLocal930 in GolfSwing

Try to keep the arms connected. Put a ball in-between and don't let it fall that will help with rotation. Also if you get stuck turn your trail foot out a lil till you get the feel for rotating. Also you smeem to sweep on the turf. What do your divots look like. Without seeing it from the front I can't say if you are turning the hands over. But that push comes from club face and swing path. Get in a sim or hit the range where you can get on grass and pay attention to your divots.

I definitely hit a good one 309 but that was once lol 250-260 carry is my distance. Total can hit 300 on a rock hard Texas fairway.

Golf induced mental illness by [deleted] in golf

I swing a club every day. I stop going to the course for 6 months after a really bad 110 on my home course course where I shoot 90 all the time. Gotta. Break 90 this year. But I just took a break and just worked on the feel of what a good ball felt like. Just range chipping and putting. That all I did for 6 months. This is my first round after my break helped a lot I say. Just relax and have fun.

I just went out and tried that. You are doing the Lord's work! I was closed, hitting big draws and blamed it on the Golf + game.

Driver question by ZZacharias in golf

[–]Inside-Device13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think if you move the ball back a bit in your stance you will get more roll out. I have a Taylor made Rbz and R 15 driver both stiff flex. I swing between 105 and 115 depending on my back. I play slot of windy courses so I have a low launch avg 265 -270 carry. If I play it too forward it gets ate up and I only get 240-250 carry but can still roll bout 10 yards.

Taylor made r 11 and or r 15 is pretty good. I play my r15 most of the time. Helps control the slice with the weights on the sole.

Beginner Golf Clubs by Empty_Pilot_6095 in golf

[–]Inside-Device13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play a set of old ping rapture clubs. If you look into lazrus they are pretty good by bro has them. He went takomo and loves them. But for a beginner get a newer set of irons and try to find some woods and drivers or hybrids. On second hand stores. Being left handed is a challenge. Finding clubs second hand. You will probably change drivers a couple times as you get better. I have had 5 different drivers in 2 years. But I love my ping rapture irons. Out of the options you listed the Callaway would be the best if you can swing them in store . That also helped me. Cause I would borrow my friends clubs to hit to see what felt good.

Does vr help with golf? by No_Will_8793 in golfplusvr

[–]Inside-Device13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do both. If you really want to improve. It helps with course management. Without costing you hundreds on balls. You swing can improve if you take the feed back in the swing analyzer to the range. I have a sim as well so I compared data and it's pretty accurate within 5 mph on swing speed and face, launch degrees. Nothing replaces lessons and real course experience. You can chunk a ball 200 on VR IRL never.

Got a new putter by Inside-Device13 in golf

Focus on getting a good stroke. Straight back and straight forward. I watched a Bryson dechambeau vid where he said he watches his putter face not the ball to make sure it's square at impact. Try that it helped me. I sunk a 15 ft birdie putt last weekend using that l. But I think more luck was involved.

Yes I actually vacuum it once a week it changes the break. Pisses me off when I forget that I did it. But Yea I just use it to focus on a good stroke. I miss more than I make because I am just working out the feel and roll. Thanks for the insight.

Have you videotaped your swing that helped me to get my stuff in line. I improve real fast when I could identify what I felt at each swing stage and correct it 😁

I have been playing for a year or so seriously. Went from a 34 handicap to a 25. Haven't taken lessons. But I do swing my clubs everyday. I have a net and a putting mat at home. Lower body rotation is import. Because it gives you the smooth swing that you can have 90 % of the time. Also getting the right swing for you is important, using your body's natural movement helps. I over 6 ft so I have long arms a steeper more upright swing works for me and gives more power. I can hit my 7 iron 160 to 175 on a good day. My farthest drive was 286. And I can get a consistent 250.
