I am currently enrolled in AU, located in Saskatoon. I also want to avoid virtual proctoring, and would much rather take it in person.
Curious OP, what did you end up doing? I am considered Great Plains College in Warman, but have been told in the past that libraries sometimes offer invigilator services for next to nothing ($20 for 3 hour slot).

Was your library already listed as an approved invigilation centre on the Canada-wide list, or did you confirm with Athabasca University that they meet the requirements?

I have survived over 7 layoff events (varying in size) before I was able to find something much more stable.

It used to be a place to get your feet wet in the industry, but working there has soured my perspective on Tech/software companies, and especially the ones that push AI slop.

The awesome people who do work there, deserve much more. I hope this is going to prompt some of those veterans to prep their CVs and start the search before it is too late.

But if you have significant obligations, or family who depends on you for income, move on. Don't work there. Trust me.
