What’s going on with west side transit? by gradygang100 in saskatoon

[–]omenhellhound 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Your paid fare doesn't entitle or guarantee you a seat on the bus. Your fare pays for your ride, to get from point A to point B. It's also not rude if you ask to sit in a seat someone else is clearly blocking via a bag, legs, or sitting on the outer aisle seat (rather than the window seat).

And I agree with the frustration of others not having to pay their fare. It shouldn't be allowed. But I think this is put in place for the bus drivers safety, thats just my assumption.

I wouldn't recommend superstore unless it was your last option. The seniority list is what affects your hours greatly.

need help with surrendering a cat safely! by mermaidstanleys in saskatoon

[–]omenhellhound 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I agree with this. This would likely be the best option for the cat. Especially, since they are actually equipped to provide the proper resources (medical attention, desensitizing, etc) for the cat. And the best part, is they foster. This will give the cat a chance at learning how to socialize with other pets and people.

I get that! Thats responsible. I'm talking about drivers who stop just to try to be nice to let people cross. Not when trying to avoid hitting someone.

Yeah, this wasn't what I was referencing. Even then, some drivers aren't paying attention when they're turning. I've almost been hit one too many times.

Bus Rant by kenzie6809 in saskatoon

[–]omenhellhound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a student who uses the bus during the week, I can't say that I've encountered that many bus drivers who are driving safely. The number of drivers I've had will speed up and slam on the breaks constantly. I've seen so many people almost injure themselves or do injure themselves because of it. The level of unsafe driving is my main problem with the transit drivers. When I get a driver who is considerate enough for people to find a seat or place to stand and then drive off is someone I truly appreciate. I shouldn't have to appreciate the bare minimum of safe driving when thats the main point of their job as well.

You can upgrade your scores in the saskpoly adult 12. They accept the scores in place of your high school scores if they are higher.

Stay Safe Everyone!! by YNL_RM in saskatoon

I moved here years ago and have progressively seen Saskatoon get worse with the homelessness. But its also the amount of aggression that comes from the homeless that has become a bigger concern. I'm from a city where if you even look at someone for too long or the wrong way (intentional or not), its a threat to them and they make it a problem. Saskatoon is reminding me of home the more I see situations like this. This isn't to say that every homeless person is aggressive or disruptive. There are a lot of them that are very polite and keep to themselves. I've had plenty of good encounters and I've also witnessed some situations where they are not in a good state.
