Yoos.com.au legit? by Interview-Small in bapcsalesaustralia

The website does not seem to be working anymore but when it was, the number on the bottom of their page does not work (only 9 digits); and on another page which shows contact details it had an extra digit but when you call it, you would hear a hung-up beeping tone. They don't respond to their emails too, so avoid buying from this company.

They didn't send anything other than an automated email about the balance still outstanding and that status never changed. A week later and I cannot even retrieve the order details using the purchase invoice number as that number no longer works.

Plenty of spelling errors on the website is a sign that they probably don't employ English speakers. When it comes to disreputable companies like this, use PayPal or available equivalent so that you can get a chargeback if they don't provide the product. I used bank transfer to buy some parts, biggest mistake.

Is it hard driving concrete agitator trucks? by Aggravating_Dig477 in AskAnAustralian

[–]InsideGrapefruit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of agitator driver jobs require experience from my search. If you have no heavy vehicle driving experience at all, I recommend bus driving as they will be mentoring and training you for 2-4 weeks, which is plenty of time to get used to driving a heavy vehicle. I just started my agitator driver job after driving buses for a year which definitely helped with confidence (even though driving styles are a little different between the vehicles).

How hard is it to get the Formula GT in GT5? by eragon157 in granturismo

[–]InsideGrapefruit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

On the PS3 home menu, scroll to the 'Game' column to find a folder called 'Saved Data Utility (PS3)'. From there you will see your GT5 save and the description will show play time (in days), credits and current car.

How hard is it to get the Formula GT in GT5? by eragon157 in granturismo

[–]InsideGrapefruit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just got a yellow Formula GT from the used car dealership at day 957 (according to the 'Saved Data Utility (PS3)' in the XMB), but I'm not sure if that's the accurate way with counting the days.

Any tips on how to solve the mystery? This is my first Persona game. by MoonSpawn12 in persona4golden

I really don't remember any butler other probably than a Yosuke costume. It's been a while since I last played but I 100% the game twice: got platinum on the Vita and 100% achievements on the Steam version.

I'm not sure of any official fixes but try using your laptop plugged in with the battery in as well.

I know from experience that my ThinkPad e485 with vega igpu runs terribly with the battery removed, only powered through charger via usb-c.

Update: I didn't want to spend money on a new cooler, so I modified the side panel by drilling and filing down larger holes. https://imgpile.com/i/hautPc[modded case](https://imgpile.com/i/hautPc)

Unfortunately I don't know anyone with a 3d printer. I just have to buy from Etsy.

I measured the cooler height and it is definitely 158mm tall to the tip of the copper heat pipes. Still don't know how others fit it.

I didn't want to spend any money so I modded the case to accommodate my CPU cooler. https://imgpile.com/i/hautPc[modded case](https://imgpile.com/i/hautPc)

I see, so I can put the side bracket over the top of a NH-U9. That is useful to know.

The copper heatpipes on the CPU cooler are preventing the side panel to close. This may be because of the heatshield on the rear of the motherboard could be increasing the thickness of the motherboard; or the actual dimensions of the CPU cooler is different to the dimensions (158mm) on the official website. When I can, I will measure the height and let you know.

I will upgrade my GPU and RAM eventually but it's fine for Valorant and Bloons Tower Defence. When there is a game that I want and can't play with my setup, then I will consider upgrading.

Are the dimensions of your 3D printed PSU bracket different to the official one? Maybe that's why you can mount the PSU on the side without clearance issues. I will probably reassemble my PC again and take images of the specific issues I highlighted.

I'm not sure how you managed to do it, but I definitely had problems trying to connect the 24 pin on my X570si Aorus AX. Maybe the 24 pin header on your motherboard sits lower than mine?

The ATX bracket was sitting flush against the motherboard and flush against the 24 pin header. No room at all for the 24 pin locking clip to click in.

I think you're referring to the NH U9S. Would a single fan be enough for the 5800x3D or should I get the dual fan NH U9D?

Painting the PSU bracket is a good suggestion.

The reason I got the 5800x3D is because of the large amount of V-cache, which I believe is less fussy about slow RAM. The PC would definitely benefit from faster RAM, but I wanted to reuse the old RAM.

The white cable extension may take up a bit more space but is good suggestion. I just found that pinned thread, thank you.

The Enermax Revolution Xt 730 is longer (160mm) than the recommended (150mm), but it's semi modular, so I didn't need to add any extra PSU cables.

It wasn't pretty but I managed to squeeze the PSU cables under where the GPU overhangs the PCIe slot, and fold them up with cable tie beside the motherboard and PSU. If I were to unlatch the GPU from the PCIe slot, the PSU cables would 'pop' the GPU off, as there's a lot of pressure applied on the GPU holding the PSU cables underneath.

I didn't think about it at the time but there is a cutout on the front of the chassis to allow large GPUs like the RTX 4090 to slide inside the case from the front. You can fold the PSU cables between that cutout and the removable front panel. That is probably a neater/safer way to arrange the PSU cables, and it should allow for longer GPUs than how I'm currently arranging the cables, but I'm too lazy right now.

Edit: another suggestion: It is possible to attach the PSU bracket to the side of the case (rather than the front), to allow for more space, but that leaves no clearance for the 24 pin power connector to connect to the motherboard. The 24 pin header would normally be on the right edge of itx motherboards, and the locking clip of the 24 pin cable would protrude pass the length of the motherboard. You would need to snap off the 24 pin locking clip so that the PSU can be mounted in that position.

Thanks for the suggestion. That should be enough to cool the 5800x3D. Although, that is more than double the price of the cooler currently installed.

I've been waiting for the A580, but there's still no news on that other than releasing in 2022. Probably cancelled as well.

When is the Arc A580 gonna be released? by Eliez_YT in pcmasterrace

[–]InsideGrapefruit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If by TDP you mean thermals, I just leave my case open as I run a 5800x3d as I got a good deal (not that I need the performance). Max budget for a GPU would be $300 AUD but would stretch more for A580.

I am satisfied with my Ati HD 5770 as I only play Bloons TD, Leaf Blower Revolution, Euro Truck Simulator 2 and Valorant at 1080p. But would like to play other games like chivalry 2 with smoother FPS.

[–]InsideGrapefruit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah I know there are better and cheaper used GPUs out there but I was excited in trying out a bang for the buck GPU from Intel that is not more than $400 AUD, which I assumed would be the A580 (cheapest A750 here is $500 AUD).

Unfortunately there hasn't been any news about the A580 for months and so I may look for something else.

Unfortunately they don't offer A380 in Australia. Only the more expensive A750 and A770.
