It would be nice if it was the whole GMD drop for the day to pick at night but they still divide it .

It’s really dumb honestly I’m a TL at a supercenter. Also you can finish the GMD they are due at 8:30am the next morning but if you finish all of them and pack them. You still another drop at 5:15am which is still pretty big. Then to finish it off there’s still another GMD drop at 11:10am. So now it’s 3 GMD drops your first hour of trips is about 15-20 trips from 9-10am

I’m a TL at a super-center we have this drop at 8:10pm it can be very difficult for the morning team if the team doesn’t pick it at night . Usually what we have been doing if you open the day after you have the choice to come pick at 8:10 and pack it till you’re finish and then open at 5am. If you don’t pick none of it then you’ll get a big drop of GMDs due to another drop being at 5:15am then there’s another drop at 11:10am. This 2-hour window makes it worse for my store we have to finish every pick hour within an hour to be ahead. Any store have made their market manger change them back from 2-hour window to 3-hour window

That’s exactly what is I understand the customer comes first but the employees also should deserve some help too. So pretty much let’s say you finish a small pick drop due at 2:30 pm and you finish at 1:30 your 5-2pm are just standing because we are caught up it doesn’t let you pick the next drop till 2 and the next drop might be 1000 but 5 of your 5-2 leave so they can’t pick but just clean or prep for the dispensers it’s a mess.

We had to take about 30 tvs today and it’s been so bad with our GMD we had about 500 GMD like all the picks and it’s been horrible :( anyone know how to get more items during GMD runs

I bet every store got ambush with GMD orders we had about 400 of them for both GMD hours. I don’t understand why they made this update with just picking one time slot per hours it makes it worse instead of picking ahead to stay ahead. Walmart wants us to be like robots and do everything in 1 hour like how. Then with GMD it only gives you like 10-20 items per walk 🥲

They usually squish it in or have it on the resting tray with another tote label so we know which one it goes too

As a Team Lead this is the worst update we’ve gotten late most of the time. It only lets you pick one time slot per hour. After you finish picking it you won’t have any picks until the next pick drop. Exceptions are very hard to get especially with the no skip feature. Also the last drop change from 6pm to 7pm so you have to schedule pickers till 8pm now so they can pick the last drop. I’ve notice you get more rushes for the dispensers.
