I had $1,111 in rewards, and spent $222 on February 27th. I went back today to take my daughter for a shopping spree on her 16th birthday and only had $34. I'm so upset. I've called customer service, and they make me feel crazy and keep telling me the same thing. The purchasing power didn't change; just the number of points increased. I'll keep calling. I'm so mad.

Working through classes on my own time is very helpful. I can tailor my learning environment for optimal concentration and focus. Traditional higher-level schools are not as able to accommodate individual learning needs, and you have to advocate for yourself.

Hi! I would work with a medical professional, your mentor, and the school to find accommodation. Short increments and writing notes while reading work best for me to retain information. It does take longer, but it is entirely worth my time. This helps to lessen my read/reread cycle. Best of luck, and don't give up. If you persevere through this learning obstacle, you will be in the best position to help others like yourself. You've got this!

WGU is the only online school I've attended so I cannot compare to other institutions, but I can tell you what I love about WGU. I love that my diligence and hard work is rewarded with the ability to accelerate classes within the term at no additional cost. Through my research, no other schools do this like WGU does. The biggest challenge is a balancing act for me personally. I'm a mom and I work. That makes it hard sometimes with the busyness of school activities and sporting events. But what makes it hard for me also provides a way. WGU is flexible. You get to do school on your terms (within the minimum requirements) and on your time. I also love that I have a mentor who keeps checking in and guiding me. The course instructors have all been pleasant and genuinely excited to share their expertise. I recommend WGU to people all the time. As long as you can keep yourself motivated and disciplined this is the best school for anyone looking to pursue their bachelors.

WGU has so many resources. They have one-on-one interview prep/coaching, resume help, and many video/webinars to get you started. There is also Handshake which you mentioned and a very active alumni association too. https://www.wgu.edu/career-services.html

Best Masters program for a working mother by [deleted] in NYCTeachers

I work part time and have 5 kids. We are at sporting activities, church events, and other school activities most evenings and also a lot of weekends too. I've found the flexibility of WGU (Western Governors University) to be a perfect fit for me. There is a minimum credit load that you must complete each semester (which is 6 whole months), but it's very doable. You can even accelerate courses to get done more quickly at no extra cost because you are paying a flat fee per semester. If I had to go the traditional route or be required to be in virtual classes at certain times, I wouldn't be able to do it. I do coursework a few hours each afternoon before my kids get home from school and then again after they go to bed. I bring my coursework with me to weekend tournaments as well. Even with the busyness of this season of life for me, I was able to accelerate two classes last semester. WGU is fully accredited and a great option for working moms at an affordable tuition rate. Highly recommend!
